I have GolTV via DirecTV and I've noticed that the BundesLiga schedule is quite off, even inaccurate at times. The games I've recorded have been broken up into two one hour programs, and the first hour often is filled with non-related footage, ultimately resulting in the broadcast being cut off entirely before the game even ends. As an example: Yesterday I was watching the most recent Hamburg game. About 30 minutes of the first hour was filled with Spanish league filler highlights, thus causing the games coverage to end in the 70th minute when I ran out of recorded material at the two hour mark. I understand that the BundesLiga is an afterthought on GolTV at this point, but I'm curious if this is a GolTV issue or a DirecTV issue? Just now, I checked my recording from over night and instead of showing "Futbol Aleman" as stated, they aired GolTV news. Currently, the guide says "Futbol Espanol" is airing, when in reality the Shalke 04 game is being aired. What's going on?
I would check Gol TV's schedule on their homepage and then tape time slots on Directv even if they don't match up. That is what I did on Saturday morning for the Schalke-Freiburg match - I had to set my DVR to record 4 different things. I am not sure who ultimately is at fault, but for some reason Directv's digital guide is not correct concerning GolTV. It is always right for FSC, though, so maybe GolTV is not sending out the proper signal (if that makes any sense). This happened some last year, and then was corrected after a while so hopefully we won't have to deal with it in the future.
Its not just Direct TV's digital guide that is wrong. I have COX cable and the GolTV schedule is a complete mess. I can't believe that a channel run so unprofessionaly can stay in business as long as GolTV has.
It's certainly frustrating. I was pretty excited to see Real Madrid's first game, and was a bit disappointed to start my recording and seeing it start at the beginning of the second half. I think GolTV is sub-par, but they have the advantage of having one of the two soccer networks readily available to most television subscribers and that alone will carry them until ESPN makes a bigger impact with their televised soccer rights. Airing the soccer games is nice, but the overall product is lacking in my opinion, especially this year.
Glad to find this thread, because we've been hammering on DirecTV for the past 2 weeks. If Cox, Comcast, and DirecTV subscribers are all having the same problem, clearly the problem is upstream. Is there a preferred contact at GolTV that we can all complain to?
Its correct this weekend. unfortunately we only get 2 matches. Thanks to the La Liga restart, we probably can't expect to much bundesliga action in the comming weeks on GolTV.
Well, there is not a Friday game this weekend, so maybe that will return next week for a total of three games every weekend.
Here in Canada they have messed around with Hallo Bundesliga. It's being televised on afternoons and in the middle of the night. Quite disappointing to be honest as it truly is a staple in my tv watching diet!
They have moved Hallo Bundesliga to 7:30 PM EST here in the US. Not only that but the show is only 30 minutes long. It used to be an hour.
Yeah the shortening of Hallo Bundesliga pmo, I really enjoy listening to Lindsay Dean and seeing highlights of every game. At least there are showing 3 games this weekend hopefully that continues, they need to listen to the fans.
Get ready for another screwed up Saturday morning. GolTV website has the Loserkusen/FCN match live, Cox Cable program guide doesn't.
Not only were there only 2 games, but instead of showing a live match on sunday, Gol decided to show a replay of the HSV:Leverkusen snorefest. WTF
If you liked last week, you will LOVE this week. The live match on Friday and the Sunday Schalke/Hamburg on delay. THAT IS ALL.
Yeah, GolTV's Bundesliga coverage has been pretty bad this season. Are there any other good options for Bundesliga coverage in the US? Is there a good way to watch Bundesliga matches online or something?
espn360 is showing Bayern/Eintracht Saturday morning and Bochum Werder Sunday morning - both live. The only downside for me is that the games are often with Spanish commentary but it's much better than nothing. And then there is always http://peterbsandor.blogspot.com to download replays of games.
The espn360 coverage is great. And FYI, once the live showing is completed, you can watch most (all??) of the matches on replay for up to a week.
Once again only ONE live Bundesliga match from GolTV this week. The Schalke/Leverkusen (aka the best match-up of the week) will be seen on a nearly 24 delay. Unreal.
Did they indeed show Bochum-Werder? I looked it up on the ESPN360 list and couldn't find it. I better watch it tomorrow if it's there.
No...the only German games listed avail for replay are: Eintracht v Bayern (x2) Furth v Stuttgart (Cup)
For €3.99/Month you can see all of Werder's games and much more. http://www.werder.tv/index.php?page=abo&id=1
