You're right. ******** Real Madrid. I support Raul and Raul only, I spend my time only commenting on Raul, I don't even know why I'm on this website, I should be on a Raul fan page. Raul FOREVER BABY.

I think you need to be patient with the boy He's only 21! I was surprised to read that be bitched about playing with Raul, but wasn't it a Barcelona's newspaper that wrote this article? I think this story was built up t.b.h, because that's not his type. On the contrary, he would say good things rather than negative. A few weeks ago he said something stupid about his desires to play for the French team and this made the headlines in France, so after he said it was a misunderstanding. He's young, but he's got his head on his shoulders because his family and friends put him in the right direction. And.. I forgot he played very well for France so just be patient he'll be back.
It's funny because last year similar things were said about him when he played poorly for a few games, Lyon fans were saying similar things. But he will step up. I think like Kaka, Messi and lots of other international players he had to play for his national side so this explains why they all dissapointed this week in the C.L games. As for you, probably the best option it to start with Hilguain and Raul and put him on the bench so that he can rest and think for a while.

If he gave more effort it would help quell the cries of "off with his head" from the reasonable fans, however there are few who aren't reasonable.

But he costed and earns as if he were 26, and he has started -most of the time- ahead of the more proven Higuaín, who at least works his ass off. Benzema's apathetic attitude won't do much to endear him with the Bernabeu.

Anyway we need to be patient, if only to recoup our investment in him, but he needs to have another attitude on the pitch, and his status to change.

THIS. I don't understand how he somehow gets the nod over Higuain time and time again... He needs to be made hungry... because right now he's just going through the motions and that's not good enough.

We have seen what the likes of Benzema are capable of based on their performance on other teams. It is the coach that has to come up with a system that maximizes their potential.

I agree with this ... to a certain extent. As It's been said a million times, Benzema looks like a " Berbatov" he's so ********ing lazy, in fact, with Berbatov's play of late - I would take him in a heart beat over Benzema.

I know Benzema is a great player, but so is Cassano, so was Ronaldo , Sneijder etc.

Being a good/great player doesn't make you warrant a squad place at Real Madrid. You got to fight for it.

He would fit your formation very nicely actually.. a lot more suitable for a player like him.

Berbatov has been on excellent form ever since the Wolfsburg game though ( for club and country). He finally looks like he's settled , yet you would want an unsettled off-form player ?

Benzema looks like he is feeling sorry for himself on the pitch. Hoping that others will get him through this or Ronaldo will come back and be his saviour. Contrast with Higuain, who in his first season and a half was largely used as an emrgency right winger or benched most of the time, his attitude is not doing much to endear himself to our supporters as dmar illustrated. Even his goal celebrations are relatively tame.

One would have thought that had he dreamt about this moment then he wouldn't be so laxidaisical. There will be inevitable comparisons to the old Ronaldo (comparisons that he seems to relish) but if there is one thing that he could have taught him in their recent exchange is that even having a phenomenal goal-scoring ratio at the club won't guarantee you an iconic status amongst the faithful. And the supposedly more experienced and knowledgable Kaka isn't setting a good example to him, IMO.

Yes. Not to change this to the Berbatov vs. Benzema thread but..

Yes, I would trade Berbatov for Benzema in a heartbeat. Not even mentioning the long term gain, Benzema is actually a striker, that can lead the line on his own. Berbatov cannot. So far, Rooney Berbatov hasn't reached the potential I thought they could have, but I can only imagine, Benzema and Rooney upfront....

Benzema makes a lot more runs into the box than Berbatov, even from a deep position. Benzema has two feet unlike Berbatov. Benzema can take on 2 or 3 defenders on his own. Berbatov has his pros, but his cons are far more irritating than Bezema's.

Im actually shocked to be reading such comments about Benzema, this far into the season. Sure he hasnt played well, but then again, apart from Ronaldo, what other new signing has?

    Hey, hey Arbeloa was decent!

Kaka should thank God, he's a likable character. He's costed twice the amount of Benzema and Xabi, yet has been worst then them.

    Yes, I said it. WORSE.

Why worse? Much more is demanded from him, to step up, to give a fu-ck, to carry a team when we're down. He hasn't and he's let us down, all without getting bashed by AS/Marca, all with a big smile on his face.

If you ask me Benzema, Kaka, Xabi, and Ramos need to wake the fu-ck up from there dreaming.

Hopefully you are talking about your personal life, Benzema's ship has sailed, no way I would trade Berba for him, if are looking for that kind of striker Dzeko would be my target at the moment.

I am not saying that he wont come good, lets hope he becomes the player he has the potential to be, like I wish Ronaldo to outdo Messi but you got to have some desire to play for the club, Berba rejected City to join us and Karim probably chosen you over us, and is proven in EPL while Karim isnt at all.

It is almost possible for all the players (kaka, Benzema, Xabi, and whoever you feel is performing below expectationb) to be in poor form simultaneously. The main thing they have in common is MP and the system they are playing in, and I believe that is the root of all the problems.

Benzema needs a wide attack. He performed best when he was in the 4-5-1 in Lyon, with someone feeding him balls through the middle (Juninho or Bodmer) and two wide wingers opening the defense for him, like Govou and Källström.

    Then is when he shines.

Right now he's in a crowded central attack with no width. Raúl, Kakà and him keep stepping on each other's toes.

While the discussion of 2 Manchester United fans' personal life is fascinating, I think we should keep this thread on track. SyedZada is right. Benzema made his choice and he is with Madrid now.

Your input is valued though. It's always nice to have visitors from other boards who don't come here to troll.

I dreamt of the moment when we didn't buy Benzema, kept Negredo, and with the saved money, kept Robben and kept Sneijder.

    It was a good dream.

Karim is not having the best of luck with cars lately. He crashed his Gallardo now. He was unhurt and there wasn't a lotta damage to the car either. He is celebrating his birthday on some island. The clip is in french so maybe some french speaking poster could translate it for the rest of us.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gkun9rL4OJI"]YouTube- Karim Benzema avec sa Lamborghini accidentée[/ame]

Apparently this french rapper shares his birthday with Karim so they were celebrating it together. The birthday poster is sooooo cheesy.
