v. WHERE: Toyota Park WHEN: 10/22/09 7:00 pm TV: ESPN2, Deportes If we win or tie, we clinch the playoffs. If we don't, we don't deserve to be there anyway. Chris Armas will be inducted into the Ring of Fire as well.
This game is a no-brainer. We need to shut out Chivas, plain and simple. I want to see the best defensive unit on the field, with no compromises, which means Blanco rests again and MAYBE comes on in the second half. We're going to need Blanco's scoring in the playoffs, but right now we need to keep Chivas off the scoreboard at all costs. I want to maybe see Calen and/or Justin come in at the end of the game to run the goats into the ground. But the lion's share of this game is a pitcher's duel, and WE NEED A SHUTOUT. So: Go CJ! Go Bush! Go Logan! Go whichever random player Denis decides to start! DE-FENSE!! clap-clap DE-FENSE!! clap clap DE-FENSE!!! Which means, of course, that Denis will put in his attacking unit, and we will be treated to a wide-open game against a team that has the horsepower to smack us around big time, as we hold on to our seats and pray for the clock to run out.
Dunno bout anyone else, but I'm on edge.. I've got playoff/cup final fever already... seems every match is do or die. It's really too bad that this team is so damned unpredictable that right now, nothing would surprise me as far as match result goes. Screw resting folks. Start the best! Get the lead, and light up the scoreboard! They'll have an extra couple of days rest over the other teams in the playoffs. Chivas has to win both matches for their chance at the Shield, so it's they who have resting issues to think about. edit: and I still feel weird about Cbus fans rooting for us to beat the fake she-Goats
Sorry to troll, but am I correct in thinking that the only way you miss the playoffs is: 1) Loss to Chivas + DC win @KC (DC gets East #2) + 2) FCD wins @Seattle (FCD wins any TB on 42 points via GD or PPG with Fire, and/or TFC, and or NE) & gets one wild card, + 3) Colorado wins @RSL for 43 points. I guess there is a scenario involving a tie at 42 with NE, but the Revs would have to make up 9-10 goals on GD this week-end. I know it's possible to miss out, but I'd say extremely unlikely. Anyway, and this is strange to say, go Fire.
We've had so many important must-win games this season, and every time the Fire have come out flat and uninspired. Hard to believe we'll see anything different this time.
Chilango Fire-0 Chivas USA-2 Galindo and Sasha K. we are coming to take the 3 points we are on “fire” jajajaj Good luck !
How about you go die in a fire, ********************. Someone should take a can of Raid to your house and kill your whole family.
Any news on who the ref is for this game. If it's Baldomero Toledo I will shit in my pants and I won't bother going to the game. He likes being the star of the game by making shitty calls and getting out cards for no reason. So please MLS I know it's a primetime Thursday night game, and you think that he's the best ref in the league so please NO Baldomero Toledo Thursday night.
You should watch the game in the bathtub, it's very relaxing...then, when you lose, you can just pull the tv into the tub with you.
I am sure Denis will give it his all. Oh, you mean bunkering successfully for 90 minutes? Nope, don't see that happening. The Fire need to rip Chivas a new one on Thursday. The question is, do the Fire have the "fire" in them to do it?
Who is Sasha? i think you are mistaken ,,,this is men soccer tournament not women.. your left brain is completely out off sync with right brain think outside the x-box
