Will San José end the season with its fourth California Clasico win and its first since its return from hiatus? Will Los Angeles roar back and claim this year's edition of the Clasico in front of its home fans? The Earthquakes giving its fans hope ahead of next season? The Galaxy giving its fans hope ahead of next week? Discuss. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
This game is scheduled to be televised live on Comcast SportsNet California at 7:30pm PDT. Comcast (Bay Area) Channel 89 Comcast (Sacramento area) Channel 34 DirecTV Channel 698 DISH Network Channel 409 GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
An Earthquakes win coupled with a Wizards loss would assure that the Quakes won't even finish second in the 2009 MLS Wooden Spoon race. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
What are the tie breaking rules for the Clasico? Because right now we've got a win and a draw with them.
I don't care if we finish second to last on the table (actually I prefer it for superdraft reasons) as long as we beat these turds in their own shithole of a home. **** LA!! **** LA!! **** LA!!
Wow! This just hit me. This game is the last game of the season for us... I will miss seeing the Earthquakes in the offseason. In the mean time, I will be watching EPL until next season!
With Alan Gordon's yellow card on Sunday I believe he sits out next Saturdays match for the filth. He's a thug and a punk anyway so he won't be missed, all the better to have him off the pitch.
Please, Brandon McDonald, kill your former team with a MASSIVE game. Arena dumped him and he's been the best bang for our buck all season. I just love it when a disrespected player comes back to haunt his former coach. Plus, I get the pleasure of reading all the LA posters lamenting "why did we cut him anyway??????" McD, make us proud!
The bottom line would say travel back and forth. The trip is pretty short vs 1 week of lodging, food and cost of training facility etc.
Plus the filthy air in LA would shorten our players playing time from currently 65 min to 45 min. Elliot will stop running at the 35th min. Don't stay there for the whole week. BEAT LA!
Sorry, I have passed those days of being happy that we just beat LA... Obviously, it would be nice to end the season with a tie or win on the road. However, I feel our luck on the road is going to run out and when we die after the 70 minute mark we will pay for it... Still, here's wishing a Convey hat trick!
I share the feelings. What I like about this last game is that regardless of win, lose, or draw, we'll be in the same position for the draft next year. We are playing for nothing but pride and a chance to hurt LA's position going into the playoffs. Come on people, don't care if we're at the bottom of the league just so long as we beat LA? Starting to sound like Raiders fans around here..
Although he has not lived up to his billing, lately his play has been brimming with confidence and it would be a great way to cap off the season.
Hey Rocky, watch Convey pull a rabbit out of his hat and score at least one. ... you know ... for me (magic ink)
