No pre-match facts as the UEFA press kits aren't out yet, but did you know that AZ is an acronym for Alkmaar Zaanstreek?

After taking just 1 point from games against Liege and Olympiacos, and sitting in 6th place in the Eredivise, AZ Alkmaar are beginging to look like a one season wonder. We could really give them a drubbing this Tuesday.

Wonder who gets the start in net with Almunia back. Also status on Clichy will still have to be determined

    --------Almunia/Vito-------
    Sagna--Gallas--Verm--Clichy/Gibbs
    -----------Song-----------
    ---Fabregas-----Diaby-----
    Rosicky-----VP-----Arshavin

Hopefully Bendtner is fit so that we can give some guy ssome rest. I would rest Arshavin and use Bendtner/Eboue for this one. Also I think Ramsey should start in midfield.

So we essentially refer to the team as "Alkmaar Zaanstreek Alkmaar?"

So Clichy is back, but Bendtner, Rosicky (hopefully just rest), Eduardo still out...

Here is what I hope to see.

    ----Ramsey-------------Fabregas---------

    Eboue------------RVP-----------Vela--------

I think the guys need some rest. Especially Arshavin at this point.

while i wouldnt personally mind seeing vela get a touch of playing time, it would STUN me to see him get a start, in a road champions league match.

ramsey?? 0007.. cmon man. you arent taking az alkmaar seriously.

Honestly the chances of us at least drawing this match is pretty good. Do we really want to go to West Ham and lose due to fatigue? Arshavin already looked tired the last game. Do we want to play him this and the next game? He will be done by then. With no Bendtner available who else are we gonna play? Wilshere?

Also to add to this AZ lost to Olympiakos and drew to Liege. If we want to rest...now is the time.

This is the perfect game to start Wilshere, but Diaby should play in midfield.

    -----------Mannone
    Sagna Gallas Vermaelan Clichy
    ----------Song
    -----Cesc------Diaby
    Wilshere--van Persie--Arshavin

maybe even give one of our back two pairing a blow? Gallas Vermaelan and Song have been playing an awful lot of football lately.

Any word on why Rosicky is out?

EDIT: It's a knee problem, but Wenger expects him fit in "a few days"

Wenger said it is something minor and he should be fit for another 2-3 days. I think he just wants him to rest and if we draw or lose doesnt wanna hear the 'well you could have carried Rosicky' episode. A healthy Rosicky at Upton Park is a good thing. Also Nasri is playing tomorrow in the reserves! Great!

Should we give Gallas or Vermaelen a rest for this one?

I fully expect to see Vela play tomorrow...he is a case of ragin' testosterone about to wreck havoc on the pitch along with Jack Ibefukinyomama Wilshire.

    Almunia
    Sagna--Glaas--TV--Gibbs
    Eboue--Ramsey--Diaby--Wilshire--Vela
    Bendtner

Oh yeah...Bendy still out. I'd not be surprized to see Sanchez Watts play tomorrow either. So, RvP plays again.
