Hey, some of you smart guys out there correct me if I’m wrong, but Wilmer Cabrera looks like the most accomplished individual the USA has ever had as a coach – AT ANY LEVEL. (You guys remember Steve Samson, Bruce Arena, etc. etc...)

Multiple World Cup experience, 13-17 years experience as a pro player (you wussies can look up the exact number if you want.)

He has the most impressive resume of ANY USA COACH, and he has refused to bend to any pressure or nonsense from players, parents, club coaches, etc. for the two years he’s been in Bradenton.

More than half this roster are his recruits (11 of the 21 players are Cabrera recruits, the rest have been there from the beginning...)

Now, he’s got to produce a result – it’s up to him, no one can help him now --- and I think he’ll do it!

Look for the US to improve on the previous best mark of a round of 16 exit (in ’99 with Landon, et al.) I think this team is better!

If he doesn’t do it, then all you “arm-chair-quarterbacks” can have your say. Until then…

Actually, to make it even more fun, the "results" we need from Wilmer have nothing to do with winning the U-17WC. We want him to train players to eventually become stars for the senior side . . . period.

The '99 team made it to the semifinals.
