USA is qualified for the world cup.
    Congratulation.

Germany is also qualified for the world cup.

I still hope that our friends France also qualify. France belongs to world cup.
    But they will make it.

England, Italy, Spain, Holland - all these soccer nations are qualified.

O.K there are still some play-off games.

but I was thinking we can already make our "forecast" or our "wish groups" for world cup 2010.

    Questions:
1.which countries you would like to have in your group
    2. which countries you would not like to have in your group

    we can already speculate..

I personally don´t want USA and Germany in one group...we should meet better later.

    your german friend

I would love to meet Germany in the elimination round. The quarterfinal in 2002 was a good match, although we were clearly outplayed. After we beat Spain 2-0 in the Confederation Cup and almost (should have) beat Brazil 3-2 in the final, I think we are dangerous. We don't have any players who are big stars in the European leagues, but we play well together and with a lot of heart.

well German players play also well together, we are good tournament team (with good record and history and good performance in mostly world cups)..and we also play with a lot of heart:)...just playing with a lot of heart is not enough:)...we need to make goals, goals
    and goals...:)..

that is our problem right there we don't execute...we create the chances...look at USA/Costa Rica at RFK we dominated that game in creating chances..we just can't execute them...that game should of be 6-2 easy.

When we learn to execute on our created chances we will have no problems whatsoever in Concacaf or even in the world rankings

Huh, did you see that match, we were NOT clearly outplayed. Some prominent people in the game, like say, FRANZ BECKENBAUER, thought we were the better team that day.

No...we weren't. We dominated the Germans in almost every aspect, even they'll tell you that.

I just watched the highlights from the US-Germany quarterfinal, and yes you are right indeed. We dominated that game and would have won if it wasn't for some amazing Oliver Kahn saves. For some reason I got the game mixed up with the '94 game against Brazil where we lost 1-0 as well.

Slovenia needs to qualify first:)...They play play-offs..and I think they will not qualify..just my forecast....but maybe they will...
maybe you meant Slovakia, that qualified for the first time for the world cup?

well the fact is that you lost..it does not matter if oyu dominated in 2002 over Germany or not..you did not turn your chances into goal...we had perfect Goalkeeper..and we made
goal....so we deserved to win and we won...

in world cup games is not important if you dominate etc, but if you are able TO WIN
the IMPORTANT GAME THAT DECIDE if you play in next round or not...and this managed Germany..we played in Final against Brazil..and lost there unhappily...but we were very
    good..

so you lost against Germany in the quarterfinale 2002..this is the fact.

btleo. I like you, a lot. I respect your opinion, but please don't ever make a post like that toward me again. Your post has NOTHING to do with mine in relation to the conversation. Next time read why I said what I did, then post.

Why would I want Russia in our group? I'd like to see Slovenia beat Russia and then be in our group! If I'd meant Slovakia, I'd said Slovakia! Some Americans can tell the difference. ;)

Actually, I don't care who is in our group. But England, Denmark, and Algeria/Egypt would be a fun group.

would anyone be interested in playing a game when the draw takes place where you predict your own draw before it happens and get points for your groups that are the closest to actual one, idk just for fun
