Split out to make it's own topic.

I can't imagine a coach looking to move on would put in all the leg work he has with the supporters. I think this is hopeful speculation by the Polish press.

Or a wise move by Nowak to promote his tour of Poland, to drum up interest

Looks like this is gaining some steam:
    http://sport.onet.pl/145390,1262245...asz_szczescia_nie_masz_wynikow,wiadomosc.html

The above article is about a member of the Polish federation PZPN speaking out that he is in favor of Pitor Nowak and Roman Kosecki as co-managers of the team, wherein Kosecki would the the technical director. That being said the Polish team was boycotted by the fans the last game as a protest against the corrupt way the federation is run, as a result sponsors are bolting the team, and the remaining ones are demanding a foreign coach.

I don't think Nowak is really being considered by the jokers at PZPN, he has always aspired to be the Polish NT coach but I think his time will come after 2012 when the Union is well on its way.

Thanks for keeping us updated. I babelfish'd the first article then tried to make it make sense. I hope I didn't butcher the translation too badly.

Don't leave Peter. At the very least, don't leave Union in Hackworth's hands.

Hopefully this is just a rumor started by Nowak's friends, because he obviously is a talented guy and could be a nation team coach if he wanted to.

This is a bit of a shocker:
    http://opolskie.naszemiasto.pl/sport/51021,smuda-znow-faworytem-pzpn,id,t.html

    Per this news story:
"Important PZPN members tried to release some controlled leaks yesterday morning. Some stated that Smuda would be announced as the new Polish NT coach on Monday during a press conference, others claimed that the two remaining candidates were Smuda and Piotr Nowak."

He's back in the states for the Ring of Fire ceremony, and came back early from his scouting trip, I would be shocked if it was him

Nowak's going to Poland would be ironic, given Philly's soccer history:

nowak has always had aspirations for manage poland...

the next euro campaign would be next for them, leaving nowak still doing one mls season...

then some assistant takes over the big job...

in terms of a start-up, nowak gets the team going, could have had worse guys in charge
