I don't know. I also think there's nothing wrong with your pronounciation of "coyote". There's a silent "e" on the end. How else are you going to say it?

All of those also list the correct pronunciation, that is, the one with a silent "e". Peter Coyote wouldn't know a coyote if it bit him in the ass, given that he's was born Peter Cohon in New York City. And Wile E. Coyote is a pseudonym, and deliberately misleading.
