..and the best part? we have an international break so we can have enough time to really go through this for a while.

    :)

I'd say that people are whining about losing an away game by one goal to the third best Liga team, after only five games (all won) with a team that is half-new, is a good sign.

Hey guys, how about some silver lining: Negredo looked good! I think we might take that option like we did when Granero played well against us.

I'd expect my leaders to rise above this sort of provocation. i don't care what was said - a reaction like that is not acceptable for an experienced pro

besides a tit for tat sending off wouldn't have helped madrid - more space on the pitch with the from sevilla were in?

I'd rather put up with the 'stink' of young players striving to take madrid forward than the sad smell of decay we get with that duo.

dude was just called up to the NT! I'm really happy for him... I hope he continues to grow and we buy him back next year after RvN is done.

Benz/Negredo up front would be awesome... with Higuain as well (rotating).

what you want higuain doing some sort of pirouette routine? to distract the oppostion defence thus creating chances for benz/negrado ? a cunning plan.

The only thing that Guti could have done is get b*tch slapped again and why he was after a second helping I'll never know. I'm also a Guti fan I like him alot..........on the bench where he's been his whole career.

Sweet jesus I can't wait until the NT break is over so everyone can stop moaning about how this team is finished. The numerous articles that are saying the same thing are already starting to get old as well.

Oh and Raul, he's the devil. Forget the fact that he didn't have that great of a game (mostly due to the midfield) because players sometimes have, you know bad games. If I wanted to complain about Raul I would be looking at the fact that he started an important away game even after being absent for training for 3 days. But whatever, its Raul's fault. :p

I dont know about y'all, but other than the lost 3 points, the only thing worrying me after that game was Higuain. How one can change in half a year....

I am gonna go out on a limb and defend the selection of Raul for the game. He had the hat-trick last season and saved the game at the end. I was waiting for him to do it again even against the run of play, it just didn't happen.

I am also going to defend Iker because yeah Raul saved that one game last season, Guti and Raul also had a shared game save against Espanyol. Iker has been saving us game in game out for years now which is the difference between Guti's two good games a year. Iker through his performances has every right to be pissed at the ass kicking he took because the team let him down again.

People wonder why the dip in form well its because he's not a superhero and he can't do what he did Sunday all the time. This is not the first time we have seen him play like this and when he has an off game people wonder what's wrong. Guti has had these attitude problem his whole career and it's becoming all too common for Raul to look slow and too old to be out on the field.

Alright guys pack it up, we're all done here, this team is finished.

I'll see you on the Barcelona boards, my new favourite is going to be Maxwell so that I can say I've been a Barca fan for my whole life and love the squad players.

Some of y'all are exaggerating the supposed overreaction on our board. Most of the regulars here have been discussing what went wrong, not that the season is over.

Sport and other rags will of course sell sensation to sell papers.

    My humble take on things:

    - It's a service that sevilla just did for us by exposing pretty much ALL our flaws in one game so early in the season...PLENTY of time for the club to find solutions.......that being said i believe we are a great team...and all this media-fed panic is ridiculous.

    About the game

    - Gotta be really honest...Marcelo, Guti and Raul would not be close to starting in any of Europe's top 5 teams right now..(just my opinion of course - barca, man U, chelsea, liverpool, inter)...so they have NO business starting for Real Madrid of all places.....these 3 MUST have secondary roles on the team (like Spanish cup..and easy home games)...
Guti is soft..losing posession all the time....Marcelo simply lacks a sound defensive understanding and his size is a problem on a team that already has trouble defending high balls.......Raul has problems physically...just too slow and not strong enough....although he's still a very intelligent player...and offered benzema our best chance in the game....

    - Being from Mali...I'm definitely a little biased when it comes to Diarra...but i really think we need this guy. He adds an element of toughness sorely lacking on this team....he's is not the type of who can get bullied.......and this leads me to my next point...

    - Do you guys think it possible to play with a 3 man midfield of Lass, Diarra and Xabi Alonso --------with kaka, CR9 and 1 striker...leading the attack?
Having lass and diarra would provide us so much defensive stability and ball winning.....and I believe this would really free up Xabi alonso and Kaka....to create. It would be especially beneficial to kaka who in my opinion has too much defending to do in this current system.....at Milan..he had his "bodyguards" gattuso, seedorf, pirlo who did the dirty work for him......... I think that an offensive force of Xabi Alonso, kaka, CR9 and a striker....is more than enough firepower.....

so bottom line...Arbeloa at left back asap.....diarra-lass combo given a try next to Xabi alonso...........but hey...what do i know...

Is pretty much all the hype of the new "Galacticos"--yet ppl dont realize that this is a brand new team and obviously they need time to get use to each other
that and I hope this is an eye opener for the team to analyze and create solutions to the whole "defense" issue

What about Xabi? Benzema? Ramos? Kaka?

They were all terrible as well. Just like with that fanatic, don't just pick out your non-favorites for bashing.

There is enough to pass around and many earned it.

My point was most (if not all) of the regulars here are just making points about the game. None of us is claiming our season is over or gloom and doom.

We all knew Catalan shitrags and other medias would fire up the engines at our first drop of points so no surprise there.

I would take Marcelo over Maxwell at Barca and I would take Raul over Berbatov at ManU. So not sure I agree about your assements about these players not making it at another club.

Very good idea. The only thing is that it doesn't include raul. And even though you provided a logical reason for his absence (and I agree with you on that reason), I just don't see it happening.
