Who is a LDU P fan? Is there anybody from Portoviejo? How do you feel that with a tie or win on Sunday, LDU P could send Barcelona to Serie B? I hope LDU P goes to Guayaquil and shows what Manabí is all about and wins or tie on Sunday. Hopefully, there is no corruption or scandal involved and Barcelona somehow ends up staying in Serie A. Well, now it depends on these two teams that are going to match each other up.

I have good memories of LDU P. In the late 70's, they had a good competitive team. After that they descended to Serie B. They always had good players. Now after all that sacrifice in coming back to Serie A and with one more chance in staying hopefully, LDU P will find a way to tie or win in Guayaquil in the Monumental. LDU P could make history and be the team that sends Barcelona to Serie B.

the only way I see Barcelona squeaking out a win is if the Monumental is full. If it's not full in a game of this magnitude, it sends a clear message and the outcome will probably reflect the attendance. This is now, at least in my opinion, the biggest game in the history of the team, besides the 2 Libertadores finals, and the handfuls of other important derbies that have transpired. If Barcelona gets relegated, the stigma of Liga getting relegated goes away. All arguments aside, this is a game changer for ecuafutbol. Liga's dominance this decade is unmistakable, if the biggest team falls, Liga by default becomes the new peak of the mountain, regardless of fan base, money potential, just by results and recent histoy.

I remember players from LDU P that were great players like "El Diablo" Alarcón and J.J. Perez. Alarcón was a forward that played from the line and with speed a little bit like Joao Rojas. J.J. Perez, Argentinian, was a goal scorer. He was one of the best around his time. Alarcón if I am not mistaken played for the Ecuadorian National Team.

I hope the referees are not influenced this weekend by the presence of playing this game at the Monumental in Guayaquil. Hopefully, if everything is fair, both teams will have equal opportunity to score and to win or tie the game. If the referee is influenced by Barcelona, what a disgrace for Ecuadorian football? If the referees go to the game with a clear head and do what they are paid to do with no outside influence, I think we will see a good game from both teams.

Does anybody have any information about LDU P? How are they preparing themselves for the game of this Saturday vs Barcelona? Is any player hurt?

not only did it happen... but 2-0 ... a clear win and no supposed "funny business" as some might have hinted... and it could have been 3-0 if the arbitro would have called the first penalty. Let alone those two hits to the post.

En fin se quedaron con ganas los que querian ver a BSC en la B.

p.s. Barcelona es dueno de Guayaquil.

QUE GOLAZOOO!!! EL del perlaza!!!!! that guy should come back to la seleccion that man is awesome,I remember he was selcted for the 2006world cup in Germany but he was benched in all four macthes unfortunately, and after that I neever heard of him in la seleccion again, frankly I don't recall ever seeing him play in a match for ecuador, but I know he's like 28 i believe so he's still got a few years to play for la sele left at least till he's 34,like hurtado..because we despearately need defenders right now!!say bagui should be called up again at least for a friendly, same with perlaza, even folleco, these guys were pretty impressive defenders

No way about Perlaza, he has a knack for fouling hard and getting cards. This dude does not be long on the NT. We have better defenders like Calderon and Campos that should get call-ups way before Perlaza does. Bagui is a total paquete, that dude had his chance on the NT and burned out so fast.

ya I guess but we should experiment in friendlies with a couple of new defenders....here's a list I made of some defenders that still have some youth, but do they have skill????..you tell me....erick de jesus from el nacional, jefferson hurtado from barcelona, deison mendez from ESPOLI,geovanny nazareno from barcelona, wilson folleco also from barce, campos from liga, calderon also from liga, miguel ibarra from ESPOLI,michael castro from deportivo quito, juan anangono from el nacional, and the other anangono from barce, also I wouldn't mind seeing gabriel achillier from emelec either, but w/e we do we need to try these guys out,you never know if there good or not if they were never given chances.......what do yout hink about the list?

I think Portoviejo has players such as Luis Macias, Manuel Mendoza(who is actually a Liga de Quito player on loan to LDU-P), that one paraguayan defender Ojeda i think it is, and Daner Pachi definitely should be playing in Serie A....
