So, demo out today, what do you all think of it? Bit easy to score but it's pretty neat.

I really enjoy the demo and personally not finding it easy to score yet :D.

There is a finesse shot bug that someone posted on the FIFA forums though, and Cech and Buffon both have their GK Positioning as 1 so theres a few things that need to be fixed. I really like the 360 dribbling, it improved the game a TON from 09 and you can actually manuvere around players, as well as being able to score more types of goals.

Drogba is amazing on the demo too imo, hes strength is ridiculous and it now actually matters

Yeah, Drogs is nuts. JT is such a presence as well. But the strength thing is SLIGHTLY overdone.

Agreed but slightly overdone is better than majorly underdone that it was last year.. now it isn't all about strength.

It actually feels like you're playing as that player alot more though, such as Ben Arfa having really good feet but being a little inconsistent with end product, and Lamps being very calm with the ball. I've gotten a ton of assists with him.

Passing with Lamps is amazing! Same with Mikel who is such a force as the anchor in midfield.

In my eyes it's far more about strength than it was last year. Good luck running it with Messi with an oncoming John Terry or Bosingwa there, just not happening. In 09 it was so easy to abuse Cristiano or Messi, but this time around it's far more about good ball possession.

Exactly, I love Mikel and Lampard together in the midfield, I wish we could do custom tactics in the demo because I'd put Essien a little more central, he's a little quiet on RM for me but when I actually am playing as him, he's got a load of power and pace and is just great, sounds like real life :p

Ah sorry, my bad, I meant "now it isn't all about pace" rather than strength, so I completely agree with the second paragraph..

I've been switching to a 4-3-3, suits Essien - Lamps - Mikel far more, Anelka is many a time a waste of space with the diamond, plus the width is nice.

I just learned about the "skilled dribble" thing where you hold down both triggers. Allows you to create space for yourself with a sideways dribble sort of thing, kinda neat.

Sorry for the late reply :

I too sometimes switch to the 4-3-3 but I like switching to lots of formations and lineups(I start Sheva often.. is that wrong? :D). The default and the 4-3-3 are my top two though and Zhirkov tends to dominate the left(tend to start him over Malouda)

Thank you for telling me about the skill dribble! I heard about it but never really gave it a shot, its really helped me get into space and find openings for crosses.

Same on the Zhirkov thing. Scored my first bicycle kick today w/ Anelka. Pretty ridiculously unrealistic but awesome.

PES is muuuuuuuuuuuuuch better than FIFA

At least players can score from long range.

I think it's bloody awful, haha, and has been.

Ya just need to get better at 10, it's quite easy to score form range. :)

There's always gonna be those PES nuthangers simply because it was such a superior game for so long. However, there is no doubting FIFA 09 was a quality game and the little I've seen and played of 10 has been even better. I have not played the new PES demo but the videos I've seen of both games' gameplay hasn't convinced me PES is superior to the point where the licensing doesn't matter.

Tried the new PES and it seems better than last years (which I felt was one of the worst in a while) Will be trying FIFA soon, although I heard the PC version of FIFA isn't as good as the console version.

No not even close, PC one is way worse. It's a better version of Xbox, PC and Ps2 FIFA 07 pretty much.

Honestly though, I had more fun with PES 09 last year than FIFA 09, I played FIFA first then switched to PES after a while.

This year though I think Im sticking with FIFA

I couldn't stand PES last year.

I could easily play PES over FIFA 08 (08 got flat out annoying after a few months, the game defined the word "luck"), but it's just been inferior to FIFA lately.

I gave up on FIFA a fe years ago because PES was just way way better. Are you guys saying that it may be time for me to give FIFA another chance? I'm quite reluctant
