I would replace Pepe with Veloso, have 1 of Liedson or Gomes as striker partner for Ronaldo, and take out Meireles so Simao would be a left midfielder.

We need to win this game at all costs, but that lineup just shouts 0-0. Unless Ronaldo plays like WPOTY out there, where's the attacking threat?

I got to agree. Meireles isn't as dangerous as Veloso, Tiago is a CM playing on the right side, Pepe is a defender... and if Deco is off we will have no teeth in the midfield going forward. Its no doubt worrisome.

Simao is doing great if you dont look a this finishing. If he was LM/LW, where he belongs, I wouldnt be complaining at all, but damn he had 3 clear chances to score and cant finish at all.

We NEEEEDD Liedson and Nuno Gomes on the pitch. Only way to score 2 goals. We're playing 2 players who ARENT STRIKERS and expecting to score...it just wont happen.

Put Simao at LW and Ronaldo at RW and Nuno Gomes and Liedson upfront.
