Who does everyone think the best XI should be? I'd go with:

    Gk:
    Guillermo Ochoa (MEX)

    Def:
    Jonny Magallon (MEX)
    Chad Marshall (USA)
    Heath Pearce (USA)

    Mid:
    Celso Borges (CRC)
    James Marcelin (HAI)
    Walter Martinez (HON)
    Giovani Dos Santos (MEX)
    Stuart Holden (USA)

    Fwd:
    Miguel Sabah (MEX)
    Blas Perez (PAN)

That guy Blas Perez is real good, I forget how much he was making but it was between 700-900k and its headed to UAE, MLS should bring him here instead of some other over the hill yet over paid Euro, Brazilian or Argie. Also dude, no love for Beckerman?

Him for James Marcelin is the only change I might make, but that would have made 8 of the 11 US and Mexican. Tried to spread it around.

De Guzman should definitely be there.

Yup, Blas is "supposed" to go to Al-Wasl (might have misspelled) .. but rumor is some MLS team put an offer in .. and other rumor is a 2nd div Spaniard team also (remember he played in 2nd div spain already with hercules) .. but it's rumors so.... I for one hope he comes to MLS, though the UAE team will fatten his pockets ..

I give it until Xmas before he's in Colombia or a 2nd division club in Spain before either going back to Mexico, Club America will probably rebuilding again, or to a savvy MLS team (possibly Chicago is McBride and Blanco leave).

I think we can add Stephane Auvray, David Fleurival and Aurélien Capoue (Guadeloupe) in the 2009 Gold Cup best XI!
