    Another type of design possibly.

Still sifting through the crap I have on the comp already. I'll get up some comparable ones with the star/ball changed to see the difference.

I see you already found the thread lol

I'm liking that one the best so far out of all of my efforts.

I'll try to tweak it a little bit more and maybe work with different combos on the colors to see if there might be a better one.

Anyone else with suggestions or ideas ?

Yeah :D. And nice design. People say you guys don't have a chance, but I say with the North West rival thing, you have more of a chance than before as it would be three Texas teams. A different flavor but great rivalry. Though I feel ther is not much time and as it would seem with Montreal, only one spot available.

BTW, joined your group on Facebook. But when you get in, I'm out as I'm a Dynamo :p;). But you have my full support for now.

We will take your support for the time being.

Are you a part of Texian Army... if so, maybe you can prime them about our group.

No i'm not. It takes a lot of traveling for it to be worth joining there group. And I work a lot of weekends so I can't travel. But I can say if you talk to some, Dynakat seems approachable, they may see the bright side and help you out. Hmm let me see also. Maybe I'll start a discusion.

I like this one most so far, but you should shrink the cannons down a little so they aren't sticking over the edge quite as far, change the grey to a lighter shade almost white, and then see if you can grey up the guys gloves, they seem to stand out way too much.

    Nothing against the red star,
just keep in mind that it's an internationally known symbol for ...

HA HA ... yeah, that could pose an issue. Even though I knew that, I didn't put it together. Nice catch. I'll work on adjusting the color scheme.

Hail to the King... Our font is here: http://www.dafont.com/1492-quadrata-lim.font

We only use the Lowercase to make our banner... but we made the C bigger to look uppercase even though its lower....

Can you put this font on the banner i pasted here that you made.... try the font in Red but i think i want the font yellow with red outline or something you can do.... and the stripes (our dark brown from website and the other the khaki)...

HailtoTheKing... Can you make it transparent on the white background.... So I can put it on the website upper corner where the alamo use to be... So I'm gonna need the crest to be downsized to fit that area... I still want larger versions... Maybe we should have a version done in illustrator so it can shrink and stretch without distortion (for when we get banners one day).

Yeah, the rest of this week I'll put different versions together (color combos of text/different sizes) ...

so the brown from the website, and the khaki for the strips .... not a problem.

I dig the stripes and lettering on that one, its looks nice. Also the barrel holes are too bright, they really tend to stand out more and draw your eye to the barrel holes instead of the overall crest. Also maybe take the red in the lettering and edge the yellow star to help it stand out more.

Crest is done (at least this first version that will be on our first uniforms).

The colors were chosen for multiple reasons. San Antonio is a military city and this represents that sector well. The Alamo is also a "tan" mission and so was that era during the Battle of The Alamo. The architecture of The Alamo is captivated in the curvature of the top of our crest.

The antique looking soccerball is being intercepted by two cannons signifying our defense of The Alamo. The ball is looking to "score" by striking the Alamo, but the Defense will not let it pass. Some may say the ball looks like a volleyball. It may seem so. But it is in fact a vintage soccerball. See Manchester United's crest as they use a similar ball.

The frontmost cannon reads "Victory or Death" as written in a letter of William B. Travis "To the People of Texas and All Americans in the World". The back cannon signifies "Support" and "Teamwork" as it is actively backing it's counterpart.

At the Top, is the The Lone Star. This represents our Great State of Texas and our flag. This is followed by our group name (in our font) and finished with the year of our establishment, 2009.

www.crocketteers.com has been updated too. The Top header banner will change when I have more time. Thoughts??

    *Thanks

And uh, wow ... that is fantastic ! That is an absolutely gorgeous crest.

So the question now, is what jersey have you guys selected ? and if you're debating a couple styles, I can mock them up with the brand new 100% bad ass crest.
