Well, mental maturity and development must happen later in Venezuela than in the rest of South America...:D

even though a reasonable person would agree that ecuador is a better footballing nation than venezuela, this past qualifiers have them hanging two wins on us, they have bragging rights and we have to deal with it. above all else, this is our biggest black eye of the qualifiers alongside the two ties in quito to paraguay and brazil.

i actually went to wikipedia and read the rules that apply to how one of the CONMEBOL teams can be eliminated next round IMO i think that bolivia is eliminated because with 12points at this point theirs not much to wish for unless the soccer gods are bolivian and give bolivia a little boost to make it to the 5th place play-off..but i higly doubt it as paraguay are going to want to pull up their socks to not fall behind after two terrible displays in the last two qualifiers which dropped them from a comfortable lead in the qualifiers..brazil at most will leave with a tie..uruguay will win for sure but everyone who has a chance for the play-off pray they lose to peru. ecuador has as much of a fair chance to beat colombia and tie them..this is a nerve racking game!!!! and venezuela is going to lose to chile no doubt about it and teh ywill be elimnated once again securing chiles position ..any replies??

    Qualification:
    • Peru is eliminated.
On the next matchday (5 September):
    • Brazil will qualify for the World Cup if:
      • they defeat Argentina AND Colombia defeats Ecuador.
    • Brazil will ensure, at worst, a spot in the CONMEBOL/CONCACAF play-off if:
      • they defeat Argentina AND Ecuador defeats or draws with Colombia, OR
      • they draw with Argentina AND:
        • Ecuador defeats Colombia AND Peru defeats Uruguay, OR
        • Ecuador draws with Colombia AND Uruguay draws with or loses to Peru.
    • Chile will ensure, at worst, a spot in the CONMEBOL/CONCACAF play-off if:
      • they defeat Venezuela AND:
        • Colombia and Ecuador draw, OR
        • Ecuador defeats Colombia AND Uruguay draws with or loses to Peru, OR
        • Brazil defeats Argentina AND:
          • Bolivia defeats Paraguay, OR
          • Ecuador defeats Colombia.
    • Bolivia will be eliminated if:
      • they lose to Paraguay AND:
        • Ecuador defeats Colombia, OR
        • Uruguay defeats Peru, OR
        • Ecuador draws with Colombia AND Uruguay draws with Peru; OR
      • they draw with Paraguay AND:
        • Ecuador defeats Colombia AND Uruguay defeats Peru, OR
        • Argentina defeats or draws with Brazil AND:
          • Ecuador defeats Colombia, OR
          • Colombia defeats Ecuador AND Uruguay defeats Peru.
    • Bolivia will be able to advance only to the CONMEBOL/CONCACAF play-off if they are not eliminated as above, but:
      • they lose to Paraguay, OR
      • they draw with Paraguay AND:
        • Ecuador defeats Colombia, OR
        • Venezuela defeats Chile, OR
        • Uruguay defeats or draws with Peru, OR

Can't wait for these next two games in the Qualifiers...especially the one coming up against Colombia. I'm sure it's gonna be a really well fought out game. The outcome of this game will be what serves as inspirations/motivations for the next one against Bolivia. A tie or a win against Colombia will keep our spirits and possibilities high...a loss will make things a bit tough doubling the pressure of our players in La Paz. And since Colombia is a direct rival, it's our big chance to kick them out. If we loose both or tie both we're out...Vizuete better play it smart when he thinks of calling Guerron, Benitez, and Cevallos (all players who haven't been frequently active in their teams as of lately...all for different reasons)...and better make sure Castillo is in shape b/c the man doesn't even have a team and who knows if hes been training. IMO Urrutia should be taken back into consideration...I was clueless why a horrible player like Fernando Hidalgo was in our squad in the last 2 qualifier games and such a great player like Urrutia wasn't.

I'm sure our NT players know how important the game against Colombia is going to be. This game a do or die so I expect our best 11 to give it their all and show up for this big game. If all goes as planned we will win by the minimum, but we will win.
