Thats what I like to see, movement off the ball, great vision from Benz. Nice speed and strength from Robben, great finish.

We were starting to get a bit stagnant, too much standing around looking at the guy with the ball.

Or, he wont play this game.. But he'll play all of the next one? Isnt that in just 2 or 3 days?

Im guessing Benzema sits out the next game.

There's a lot of plus's in this game, much more than in the other pre-season matches.

This is a team that would've destroyed Juventus.

Xabi good idea on the wide pass, but Robben wasn't expecting it.

Granero watch: he is very comfortable on the ball. He does make mistakes, but he seems to me a Real-caliber player. Can shoot and pass and run with the best of them. If we didn't know anything about Real Madrid (some of us lol), we would've thought that Granero may be a Galactico signing as well.

Kaka has good English skills, and is happy to be here.

I agree, he looks rather assured. But, I would like to see him speed up his play, and not wait for a defender to get on his back.

Negredo falls a lot. Good effort, but he's a bit all over the place.

Man, cut the guy some slack. He's got one goal, two assists, some more very nice passes and provoked a penalty that should have been called. What more can you ask for seriously? Did you see him do anything foolish the entire game? I think not.

I think a possible reason was that he played a CM and playmaking role in Getafe and had a lot more time on the ball. Now it's like he's just part of the ensemble, not the central creator (like Guti was today). Hopefully his talent and potential will reflect in his adaptation to the needs of our sporting programme.

Negredo could've made it 6, but his strength and work rate is impressive. We don't think of him as a superstar, but this is because we're at Real. At Spurs, he'd be worshipped.

You Karim's cousin or something? Its fair to question some of the decision making out there in these matches, shows tendencies...we have an important season coming up, and are interested in how the squad, and individual players, are coming along.

The smile on his face says it all. (no homo) He just looks very excited, not armed with Robben's permascowl or a prima donna attitude.

Great game. I'm really glad to to see Kaka playing his first game for us :). Lass was a monster in the midfield and I think Granero showed his qualities once again. If only he could speed up a little bit.

I'm really disappointed though about Higuain. What is going on ? He was our best forward last season and one of top3 players for us and he is becoming a bench warmer ? It's just not right, Benzema is playing all the games while he is getting garbage minutes. It's preseason I know, but still..

Benzema played the whole game so that means Higuain is starting the game against DC.

BTW, is it even legal to play by Sunday? Or is it only in official games?sorry if this is a dumb question.

    ^^^*facepalm*

Dont you understand we're playing two games within 48hrs. Pellegrini needs to select what players play one game or the other.

The more I watch Lass the more amazing the guy is. I feel like an idiot for, initially, questioning the signing.

I think one of the aspects of his playing set that was questioned was his technical ability, which he's proven time and time again that he's capable of the advanced skills, dribbling, long passes, and through balls that we expect out of a center midfielder. Other than a few giveaways (something everyone has), I think he's going to remain, along with Alonso, as the rock and engine room to rest our attacking talent upon.

Good game from the lads. I thought Benzema had a very good game. He worked hard all game, and while his final touch is still lacking, he does well to create space for himself and for others. Granero continued his impressive play this preseason. Lass was his usual self. Kaka and Ronaldo looked good tonight, although the latter seems to be forcing the issue at times.

Defensively, Arebola was very shaky on both ends. That said, it's still his first game of the preseason, and he hasn't had much time with the team. Metzelder was again very solid at the back, while Drenthe managed to put in a decent effort for a change.
