Yeah, true, no one wanted Tenorio back...I was one of them. If anything he was the last person I wanted back. He's no Tin Delgado who I have 100% faith in, especially after what he did at the beginning of the Qualifiers, but he's damn sure the closest thing we can find to a Center Forward. And I had to applaud what he did in Peru, he had no mistakes in my book and played his role correctly. He did well in that game and must continue to meet the expectations (by scoring) for him to be approved as our goaleador. He just needs to be consistent, make his presence felt on the field, and NOT do what he did at the beginning of these Qualifiers. If he shows us what he did in the WC, then he's definitely the answer to our problems up front.

I think our NT would be even stronger with a fit Luis Bolanos in our midfield. Let's see what he can do in Internacional to make a quick return to our NT.

As far as Guerron, he needs to stop being a ball hog (as usual) and change his attitude. He also has to find a team where he can get more minutes. I think he has to mature a lot before even begin a sub in our NT. He has the talent, he just has to know how to use it wisely.

ive given up on guerron, in regards to his passing problem at least, he hasnt changed a bit and judging from his plummet from the top to the bottom dont expect a change. (hes going to want to prove himself once again)

Chao.

in a month or so qualifiers are back for CONMEBOL and their are four games left....so far many teams are desperate for the last ticket to go to the coveted fifa world cup...uruguay, colombia, venezuela, and ecuador still have fighting chances as well as argentina who has lost their form and performing under their usual level which could leave them out of the world cup for the first time in more than 30years.

imo the teams that have more of a chance to make it out of the four are ecuador and colombia. the games we have left are crucial but their not impossible. we have beaten the colombians on their soil before but it has been a while since then.

and el estadio hernando siles has been a fortress for us in the last two qualfying rounds. in 2002 ecuador humiliated the local team 5-1, and in 2006 tin delgado netted two times for a 2-1 win over the bolivians in their stadium again...i think we can repeat this again this year....the bolivians may come out aggressively at us but they are as good as done IMO they really dont have a chance to make the world cup...

and agaisnt uruguay we can beat them for sure the last two rounds we were qualfied with a tie so we just took it easy on them..but this time around we have to give them another 4-0 like we did for the 1998 france eliminatorias..

and chile our last opponent...they arent an easy task as our other games they are hard as well...to say the least their our hardest opponent in the four games left but by then they probably are qulified so they probably will let us win....

but we have to try and win the games left ..ALL OF THEM!!!!!!...because colombia wont be far back from us on points and if they win their last qualfier agaisnt paraguay whci hthey have the last two qualfier rounds then they could take the repechaje from us if they accumulate more points than us.

uruguy still has a chance but looking at their poor form lately it wouldnt surprise me to see that they will probably lose a few games in the last four matches..and venezuela honestly they have improved but i cant see them making history right now..not right now..at most they could get a tie agaisnt uruguay at home, agisnt peru most likely theyll win, but agsint paraguay i think theyll lose and even worse agisnt brazil whom theyve only beaten once in a friendly and i doubt they would let them win in brazil because thats their fortress of solitude so this is what i think of the qualifiers ....please reply anyone with your thoughts

    Nice assesment.
I think if it is Ecuador or Colombia, it will only be one of them, not both. I have a feeling Argentina will prevail.

yeah i have to agree on this one as well. argentina is argentina...with their backs to the wall, i am pretty sure they can squeeze out the needed results to classify, although i will say that they'll drop one game, maybe tie one, and win 2, so realistically, if ecuador keeps sharp, we can classify 3rd with strong results on our end. if argentina fails to qualify, that would be a disaster for maradona...

i feel bad for the teams that are facing argentina because the referees are going to give argentinas opposition the advantage...you reall think fifa will let argentina not qualify? and on anothernote does anyone think venezuela is being a bit to cocky over their two recent results? i think that they beat bolivia in la paz thru luck because venezuela didnt even score the goal...IT WAS AN OWN GOAL FOR GOD SAKES!!!!i think venezuela has gotten to much luck these qualifiers and its going to some of their heads....please anyone reply with your thoughts

Well regardless if they're getting cocky or not, truth is they smacked us in the face this qualifier getting six points out of us.

I think Brazil, Chile and Paraguay will battle for the first place.

Then there will be 1 and a half places left.

My candidates are: Argentina, Ecuador and Uruguay

I leave Colombia out mainly because they have no firepower whatsoever.

98 WC qualifying...Ecuador 4 - Uruguay 0. Aguinaga ran riot through the Uruguayan defense, and El Tin got his first major goals for Ecuador.

history really isn't on our side in that argument...but recent successes might change that, especially as ecuador appears to be on the rise and uruguay is sort of fading in this qualifiers. this game is in 3 fechas, so there's a lot of football to play before we go into speculation. lets focus on colombia and bolivia first, if we win those two, i think we just need a tie against uruguay...

ya but imo it was luck becuase the 1-0 in quito...venezuela played like shit and scored because of our horrible goalie..and in venezuela they tackle our defnder hurtado really hard onpurpose when he fell and none of their players got a red card..then we made a bad change and lost 3-1...then in la paz they played good possession and everything but bolivia missed a penalty and scored an own goal...so why is it going to their heads????thats mediocre i think anyone else???they get their hopes up way too much only to get bitch slapped by reality and thats why i think they arent prepared to qualify for their first world cup...another example they won a cheap friendly agisnt brazil 2-0..then they were saying they were going to golear brazil, and they got bitch slapped 4-0 to brazil at home..and after the 1-0 in quito they said they were going to demolish argentina and lost 2-0 lol its reality people...anyone any thoughts on this?

I'm not sure what you mean by "venezuela is being cocky". Do you have venezuelan friends that are bragging nonstop about this? There aren't many of them on this site, and if they were being cocky here, I'm sure I would've noticed.

I don't have a problem with Venezuela though. Their game has noticeably improved over the years and I think that's good for CONMEBOL. Whenever I get a chance to watch their games I always root for them.. except when they play against us!

In the end, how it happened isn't going to get us any points that'll help Ecuador qualify.
To say it is "unlucky" because they scored of a freak free-kick does not change the fact that we are 3 points shorter - no matter how they/we played the game.

no actually i dont have venezuelan friends but the other day i was watching the videos of the two venezuela vs ecuador games lol i like being really observant of what went wrong and everything in those games and I read a few comments...and their were venezuelans insulting us saying that were shit venezela is way better than ecuador....they were saying that they stole 3points from ecuador in the first round game and that they were going to demolish argentina.(they lost 2-0,then 4-0)..they were getting cocky about how they beat brazil in a friendly and they were saying that in the qualifier in puerto ordaz they were going to goalear brazil.(they lost 4-0 at home)..they were saying all sorts of absurd comments that i thought were disrespectfull comming from a team still considered minnow in south america...i think that you should never stop having pride for your team no matter what but dont disrespect others in the process trying to disrespect the rival especially in thier position where they have never beaten or even tied argentina home or away, and they have never beaten brazil in an offical match.....oh ya and i recall them saying that if ecuador went to a world cup it was only to humiliate themselves and get goleado by every team in their group and get eliminated:confused: so their you go....you understand what im saying???anyone who wants to respond please feel free to give me your thoughts and opinions

Dude, you do realize that the people making those posts and comments do not reflect the population of Venezuela, right? In other words, because a few 14 year old punks were able to salivate over a victory in a country were baseball comes first is much like comparing crazed MLS fans that bust a nut when a team like the Dallas Burn beats a midtable PL club like Fulham over a friendly.

I can't be bothered to get all agitated over what some child that does not get enough love from momma and pappa and therefore seeks attention by posting crap on the internet - who cares? Let them enjoy their little victory(s).

Were these comments on youtube?

If so, don't pay them any mind. Youtube is full of trolls. I've had to deal with a Polish guy and even a Bolivian that kept posting the most incredibly racist and anti-Ecuadorian messages you can ever imagine. The only thing that can drive them to such extremes is envidia :)
