It should say GENTP or GEN on the ticket. If the ticket is 200 or less pesos face value then I'm pretty sure it's GA.
i think if we get 500 US supporters, thats a good number...nice to hear that USSF has sold 300 already. that combined with the ticketmaster ones that people have bought is a good number....
The SE package is advertised in this forum. The deadline to get in on this deal is FRIDAY, JULY 31 5 pm ET K
I believe General admission is section G Good, if they fence off a spot for 500 fans, and only 300 have tickets, the rest of us who got general admission tickets will be able to march in to the fenced off section.
I got the first pre-game jitters just now. Up to now, it's sort of felt like something that was going to happen a long time off, but now it's just around the corner. This is going to kick ass.
Not reading the 90+ pages...Was there a meeting place for Tuesday night? Was in San Jose in June and all the US fans (all 15 of us) were looking for a bar called Bugaloo that apparently didnt exist. Hoping for better luck this time.
I have three extra tickets in the US Supporters section if anyone needs a ticket. I'm supposed to receive the tickets via mail on August 5th. The price is $ 21.75 with the fees per ticket. Let me know if you want them and we'll work out a way to exchange the tickets and the dough.
tickets began arriving for the 1st Minnesota Volunteers squad today ... see ya'll at Yuppies on Tuesday night ... TAKE THEIR COLORS
I'm definitely interested as this is much cheaper than the $185 I'm looking at for the Screaming Eagles package (which I still might do). My question for you, and any other U.S. fan not doing taking the Screaming Eagles bus is how and where do you plan to safely get back to your hotel? I just want to assure myself of landing a ticket in the Supporters Section and making sure I have a safe ride back.
IDK but there's a bunch of us on the same boat. I heard someone was trying to get a bus for all of us which would cost $50 round trip per person but I'm open to getting a cab from there. It's only me and my friend so there's room for 2 more if someone wants to split the cost 3 or 4 ways it won't be that much. If a lot of people are going to take the subway I'm down for that too.
I heard cabs in Mexico City are not the safest way of traveling. I'd be more willing to do the bus if that's an option. Is everyone heading back to their respective hotels afterwards or is there a place where everyone is going to hang out and perhaps kick a couple cold ones?
I'm sure our squad of 1st Minnesota Volunteers 15+ strong will be taking the train back to Metro (subway) back into the city center (or wherever the US fans gather to celebrate the mission to Azteca) ... safety in numbers, and don't do anything stupid. Surely, we'll be staying in the stadium for at least an hour to let the crowd disperse and avoid confrontations. Aztecazo: Mexico have only ever lost one qualifier at their Estadio Azteca, to Costa Rica, in 2001 in what has come to be known as the Aztecazo.
I heard about free travel health insurance being offered in Mexico City to get people to travel there. I sent them an email requesting more information, and will post it when I get it. Here is the link: http://travel.latimes.com/daily-deal-blog/index.php/mexico-city-offers-t-5006/
If I don't go the Screaming Eagles route, would you guys be willing to let me hang around with you after the game? I'm sure you'd decide where to go after the game before you fly down to Mexico...right?
I help split the cost for a cab. I see you are signed up for the Angel City Brigade, are you going to be at the match Saturday? What is your name? pm me. It says you have exceeded the number of pms allowed, you might want to clear some.
Not at all ... always looking forward to meeting new Friends in Futbol (FIF) ... most of our squad are staying at either the Hotel or Hostel Catedral ... first travelers arriving Saturday ... see the article compiled at ThisIsAmericanSoccer for partial itenerary.
