I always hate Mexican excuses when we win so I will offer none today.

They were the better team and deserve to be champions of CONCACAF.

Congratulations to El Tri and their fans.

Agreed, I enjoyed how we lost with honor and a lack of ardido

Yes, they played some beautiful football. They fully deserved the victory.

I'm curious though. If the U.S. had been leading 5-0, how many times would Torrado try to injure one of our players?

I especially enjoyed the mention of Torrado making a point of shaking hands after the game. :)

    Draw any conclusion you like.

Well, your players did. Bringing up "ardido" casts you out of that category.

Screw that noise. Peeps shouldn't be on a ********ing soccer site if they don't want to be spoiled. Anyways, better they're warned, so they don't have to witness that train wreck for themselves.

    Re: Congratulations Mexico.

    Great post.

Unlike the our rivals on the other side, you have to give them all the credit, as they proved to be the better team. Congrats!!!!!!

We looked like the better team in the first half, but their coach pulled the right strings in the second half, and Bob did not.

That back four is totally broken. Totally, totally broken.

In a few months we're going to look back on this match and laugh hysterically about who we put on the field.

"Jay Heaps?! *cue violent fits of laughter* I thought he retired like five years ago!?"

Yeah congrats I guess. Got some breaks and we gave away our own 1/3 of the field. Infants learning to walk is a given but you've still got to give them a cookie when they finally figure it out.

    Re: Congratulations Mexico.

Two many games for the young us team and very emotional games to deal with to reach this level, they did very good the first half but didn't have the wheels to continue. Like the Brazil game, the goal early on the second half took the air out of the us game and the rest is history.
The Fox cameraman had a thing for the Mexican goalkeeper, any u guys noticed that.

Congratulations, Mexico. In addition to being the most popular soccer team in the U.S., you're now Gold Cup champs.

Why? Are you ashamed of ardido? The Mexican's always use ardido as a justification for a different style of behaviour. Are you a critic of Mexican Ardido?

    Congratulations.

On beating our C team. Now we know what it was like that day back in 1993 in the U.S. Cup when we won 5-0 with Thomas Dooley at center forward. At least now we know we have to bring our best EVERY time instead of turning it on when we feel like it ...

I'm not sure there were any strings for Bradley to pull. Who on our bench could come in and do what Vela did?

    Congrats Mexico.

I hope that this result makes them extremely overconfident leading up to 8/12.
