Greetings. It came to my attention that a lot of the guys that we have threads for here a. either barely play for their teams or b. the thread themselves are barely (if at all) updated and some players actually fit into both "a" and "b". Some of the examples that come to mind are Sebastian Pinto, Reinaldo Navia, Kevin Harbottle, Sebastian Rocco, Eduardo Rubio, Eduardo Lobos, etc... Having said that, I propose that we merge their threads into the general "Chilenos en el Exterior" thread: https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=722628 I just feel like it is a waste of space to keep specific threads for guys that barely play, or that get little or no press coverage or that (as Yanez pointed out and I actually agree with now ) really do not deserve a thread of their own. What do you guys think? I ask so I do not seem like a tyrant by doing it arbitrarily without consulting anyone but if I get no responses, I am just gonna go ahead and merge them as I would suppose none would mind. Thanks in advance for your input.
HEHEHE, u know my answer. If you don't play for a good latin American team or good european league then NO THREAD. haha
Agreed, all of the players that you mention should be merged. Others like Pedro Morales, Jean Beausejour, and Fierro for example should continue with their own threads, because the discussions in general have been relatively lively. Also, the Dani Delboro and Pandurri signed Di Grigorio threads can be merged into the main Exterior thread as well.
OK, cool: so I will merge Lobos's, Harbottle's, Panduri's and Di Gregorio's thread into the "general" Chilenos En El Exterior one. I am gonna wait out a little on Rocco's, Pinto's, Rubio's and Navia's. The latter 3 are probably gonna end up back in Chile (Rubio and Navia both rumoured to be interesting Figueroa at Catolica; Pinto said he wants to get back to la U). Having said that, it would not make sense to merge those thread into any other ones so I will probably close them once their status becomes official with whatever club (and if they do stay abroad, they will be merged). Rocco is probably not heading to Mexico (he probably doesn't wanna play in the 2nd div. and Necaxa already have 3 "extranjeros" in their ranks). So depending on what happens, his thread will be merged/closed. Cheers!
