You guys are looking into this 2-2-1-1-1 vs. 2-3-2 stuff a little too much...

Don't worry - there's not much more to be said - and Duck is about to be too happy to care.

You're a hypocrite. First you bring win losses as a argument and then it doesn't matter? Give me a break.
You think Lakers would have an advantage playing at Staples Center next game or not? This is so stupid it's laugable. Of course they'd rather play at home on Sunday.

    Huh?

They'd also prefer to play every game at home in the finals - it doesn't prove your point.

OK lets bring the bandwagoner into this :p Do you think there'd be a bigger chance of LAL closing this out at home in LA then in Orlando on Sunday?

    Try and keep up.
That's exactly what it does. If playing away from home was an advantage the setup would be 4-3. That the away team gets more home games after five games then the top seed just shows how stupid it is.

I can't believe how, if Kobe had been slightly better in game 3, or had Orlando not shot the lights out in that game, this Finals could have been a sweep...

I'm scared Kobe is gonna want to make a grand finale on Sunday and go for 60 or something. Who would be surprised by this?

He'd be better served to tone down the amount of shots he takes. He took what, 30 shots last night? At this point it's no longer about how many points he gets, they just should try and close out this series in five.

And if Dwight had hit 1 of those ft's it would be 2-2 or if Lee had've hit that game winning shot in game 2 it could be 3-1 in Orlando's favour. If this, if that. Fact is Lakers lead 3-1.

That's not the same, because that'd mean DH12 does something he doesn't usually do. He sucks from the stripe. Kobe, however, usually doesn't suck like he did in that game. Bottom line is Magic played the best game they've probably ever played and still almost lost.

He sucks at free throws but he still should get every 1 in 2 plus the Lakers played pretty well. They still shot over 50%.

More like they played atrociously bad in the first half and then greatly improved from the third quarter on, just in time to salvage the game.

Balla's basic point is true though - a missed lay up (although really high in degree of difficulty) and a made free throw - or Van Gundy not pressing everyone forward and putting a 5'2" guy on Fischer and not fouling - and the series could have been different. Van Gundy hasn't been stellar this series.

But we are at this point because the Lakers are better so as balla says, the ifs are sort of pointless.

Makes you wonder if the Lakers were to face the Euroleague champions Panathanaikos, what would the O/U be as well as the margin.

In any case, I got my hat ready and my camping gear ready. Let's roll, Show.

Too good in game 5. The commentators said it in the broadcast - Lakers were superior in games 1 and 5 but the other 3 could've gone either way. LA were just more clutch throughout those games.

I forgot to watch the game, but just shows that even with the what ifs, the Lakers were likely to win this series anyway. Good job by Gasol to step it up and play well against Howard. Will be interesting to see if they can repeat next season.

Too bad the finals weren't as interesting as the rest of the playoffs mostly were.

That's because the Tragic laid a massive egg in the Finals after being clutch against the Celtics and Cavs :p

It's also because the Lakers actually covered the perimeter and had the players to do it (and didn't need to help cover Howard so much). The Magic are easier to beat when they aren't getting wide open 3s all game long.

And Van Gundy had a number really strange decisions including playing his out of form point guard so much. I guess that's why they call it paying your dues - if this team gets back to the finals, presumably they'll reduce the number of mistakes.

You may all now call me Duckadamus. I predicted Lakers to win 4-1 over Magic in the Finals. And that was before the Playoffs began.
