Terrrrrrrrrrrrrrrmino el partido. Nos conviene que Uruguay y Venezuela empaten y que Peru le gane a Colombia.

Didn't he say that on Caravana TV yesterday...I think it was on Doble Impacto. But fortunately, he was right.

The way we played our first half made me seriously doubt that we were going to even TIE...Messi, Tevez, and Rodriguez were getting through our wings easily the first half with Reasco and Ayovi moving up but returning at a slow pace when we had to defend. Great job by Segundo Castillo I might add, one of his best games, if not the BEST this whole qualifiers. He did something similar to what Noboa did against Peru....he played as a Defensive mid AND attacked a lot. And surprisingly he doesn't get opportunities in Everton?? Moyes is retarded!!

ANYWAYS, I got to say AGAIN that I am surprised with one of our forwards... this time Palacios. Indeed in these 2 rounds of Qualifiers I have been shocked with Tenorio and Palacios pulling these goals "out of their asses" haha. Even more shocked with Palacios....I don't want to call his goal luck b/c I did see him a bit more focused this game compared to the BELOW mediocre one he had against Peru. Really great goal from Palacios, EVEN HE has done what Benitez and Caicedo have NOT been able to do this whole time. Palacios showed garra in his goal...he didn't give up and shot that ball with anger. I applaud him for that although I don't quite think he deserves to start just yet....but then again he IS the only one besides Tenorio whose given us goals lately. I am still very interested in seeing what Joao Rojas can give us. It's obvious now that Benitez is a player that should be warming the bench in our NT(like I've been saying since forever). We FINALLY got results w/o him being there and I can finally add in that our NT DID NOT MISS HIM WHAT SO EVER (just like I said he wouldn't be missed). I knew Benitez not being present would somewhat fix our problem...but at the same time I'm surprised it was fixed with Tenorio and Palacios.

I'd still give Caicedo another opportunity up front with Tenorio b/c he had it hard being guarded by 2-3 defenders this whole game until Palacios came in and took some defenders off him. I think we could have seen something better from Caicedo if Tenorio would have played with him up front. So no negative comments from me towards Caicedo in this game.

Another thing I might want to add is that Jefferson Montero is NOT useful playing on the LEFT WING....he's played Right Wing in U-20 and is 150% right footed...his left is horrible, he doesn't even trust it....Vizuete shouldn't either. Montero hessitated to cross with his left the whole game and had the ball stolen a few times b/c he's not good on the left. Hopefully el Chucho Bolanos will be in our next games and be a good sub for that position.

And might I add, Elizaga was the best player on the field....if it wasn't for him we would have lost....who else would have saved those 4 STRAIGHT opportunities of goal that Arg had??? Only Cevallos...but he's not there. SAN ELIZAGA, your the best!! THANK YOU!

What a great game, I thought Arg was gonna score on that pk and it was gonna be over but Elizaga bless you you are a heroe and the new hands of Ecuador no doubt. I didn't know Ayovi could do that, what a goal strike it was just a beautiful thing to watch..... the only thing I'm afraid of is that the team will once again feel a false sense of security, nothing is decided yet and if anything we should probably try and make direct qualification if possible.
