I dont like the way eliseu is playing so far imo .

with simao, ronaldo, nani etc I just dont see him getting into the team unless he takes over this match .

I've never really noticed how much of a physical presence he is. Hes really fast and has a big upper body too. Looks like a mini Adriano actually.

Also, Boa Morte is playing MUCH better today.

He doesnt hate Pedro Mendes.
He has actually gone to watch some of his games, has talked to him and even called him up at one point but he never made into the game. Dont know why he hasnt been called back.

Hes always played better for the NT than Quaresma has when given the chance - but Quaresma retains his loyal fanboys.

I agree with this, his ball control is at times out of this world, his work rate is often ignored, his decision making is what lets him down, you dont need to beat a man thrice Luis, create a bit of space and pull a move.
Also he lacks consistency.

 

Man I adore Miguel. I still think he is an overall better player then Bosingwa on that right side.

Underrated?

If anything, he's overrated. He barely gets any playing time at United anymore.

The guy can't shoot. Never passes. He tries to walk the ball into the net every time.

back in the day with figo, rui and pauleta we would be winning at his point. actually, we would be winning against all minnow teams at this point! friendly or no friendly

 

This game just goes to show you how bad this team is right now. If you can't score a goal against Estonia in a friendly FFS, then you know there is something seriously wrong.

This game so far has been a perfect summary of this whole WC qualifying season, a lot of ball possession, but they do nothing with it. What's the point of having all that possession, if you don't create anything.

There's no question, that CQ's player selection has been miserable. But you can't lay all the blame the players, when all the players aren't performing to their potential, then the blame falls on the manager.

If you want a perfect example of everything that is wrong with this team, just look at the 40th minute mark. Nani gets hold of the ball in the box, he centers it to Eliseu who has Tiago making a run up the middle. Eliseu has all the time in the world to set up a shot, what does he do? He boots the ball into the stands, then tries to blame the pitch! Are f'n kidding me? What a waste. Then 3 minutes later he again, boots the ball into the stands. Send this bum home!

 

Since you support chelsea I think you would know that there are a few rich clubs out there who have been known to bench good players.
