Wow i didn't know that mendez and hurtado are going to be out for the Peru game. I didn't know about guerron either. We are not going to be at full strength vs peru, but i still have faith in us winning against them.

I'm going to be in ecuador when we hopefully beat Argentina. If that the case there's going to be major partying that night I can't wait.

Does anyone know if Castillo will be on the squad list for Everton tomorrow for the FA cup final?

in that case here's my line up against Peru

    Montero,-------------------------------- Noboa

    ---------Teno-------- Rojas

Even though I despise Barcelona I think Elizaga is inconsistent and here is my lineup.

    -----------------------Banguera--------------

    Reasco-------Campos-------Guagua----------Mina--

    --------Castillo---------------Ayovi-------

    Montero------------------Noboa-------

    Teno----------Rojas---------

If Tenorio doesn't do anything in the first half I would put Palacios in since he should know South American futbol reallly well by now.

hahaha, yea, well, I don't think Banguera will be playing for FC Barcelona anytime soon, I guess I assumed when I said I would like Banguera to play despite my disgust towards Barcelona everyone would know. However, my life would be complete the day an Ecua player would be a regular for Barça! Maybe I've been drinking too much.

i gotta be honest my friend this game gives me a bad feeling as well:eek:..i get chills i dont know why...i think its becuze of the line up were using..and we usually fall to teams that are playing terribly at a particular moment ex:venezeula:3-1...and jorge guagua doesnt make the situation any better i dont know who can call him a successor to ivan hurtado..that guy is horrible..not to say that when la sombra espinoza's in defence he makes it any better:rolleyes: hahaha ..with his bonehead mistakes everynow and then

i think the following line up would make more sense, since there are 4 emelec
players who already know eachother plays.

Also, Reasco and Campos who play well together in Liga.

Castillo, Ayovi and Noboa who've played last 2 WQ

    ------------------------Elizaga (Emelec)

    Reasco----------Campos----------Fleitas (Emelec) ------Mina

    Castillo---------------------------- Quiroz (Emelec)

    Noboa------------------------------Ayovi

    Teno------------------------Rojas (Emelec)

i think i would disagree with you here because banguera will have too much responsibility on his behalf especially since hes been capped only a few times...and especially with his bonehead stunts hes pulled off in the games hes played ex agaisnt oman where we lost 2-0:(..and mexico where he could have saved both headers for sure 2-1:(..and also our defense may not help very much if guagua is put in as a starter so if bangueras in net itll probably be raining goals...so id rather elizaga he can actually save a shot, he fast at getting to the ball, and he has more experience under his belt..ex friendlies, 1 copa amaerica game well played agisnt brazil, and a few qualifiers as starter(minus the one where he screwed up agisnt paraguay)

agreed... Guagua not only was out of position during all 3 gols by
el salvador in the friendly, but he is a lathargic player. Guagua is a big NO!
I would rather play Deison Mendez, but he was not called up to NT this time. so i say play Fleitas.

Quiroz plays well with Rojas... it was Quiroz who put the
centro to rojas who passed to montero for ecua's only gol...
Our other option would be Montero, but he hasn't had enough
caps with the NT... We are already taking a risk with Rojas since
we don't have Benitez or Caicedo for the Peru game....

i don't know i think that this time around were going to have to go with the flow and put the players that arent expelled even if they dont have much experience ..and besides i thought montero was great he has speed he can cut around the defence of the opposing team i would say hes a good option in midfield..besides i would say that peru's defence is weaker than el salvador's that day hahaha and also i would like to see elizaga in net idunno but he makes me feel more confident when hes guarding our net ..besides banguera i think needs to learn a bit more beforing going in for an important game such as a qualifier...as for our strikers who are on the list i think i rememeber guerron being in there not sure why..and i assume that palacios is in there and hes horrible never convinced me at all..so i assume rojas is doing all the work upfront then hahaha:eek:

Montero needs to mature a bit more...I was at the colessium that night and on the field against el salvador he looked like Robinho(but also remember there wasn't one el salvador squad player who was over 24 yrs old, they had unexperienced players)... sure, Montero's got the talent "looks" of a Robinho or a Valencia...i've seen them both play live, but IMO Quiroz is more developed as a player...not as fast as montero but has a better idea of what to do with the ball defensively and offensively.

but if we're up 3-0 against Peru I would definitely sub him in to give him more experience. oh and I would put Montero in before I would Palacios.

yupp viagoal you make a good point...even considering that we dont really have that many options as other countries like argentina or brazil..unfortunately our talent pool is pretty small and limited when it comes to the national team soo were just going to have to deal with what we have as bad of an idea as it may sound lol..but hey it could be worse he could have called up carlos castro ebelio ordonez and mamita calderon once again lmao;)

i can already pull out a few names that dont belong on this list them being cristian mora, banguera for the moment until he gets a bit more experience and learns how to properly save a ball and clear a ball unfront of an opposing teams striker..um jorge guagua, palacios, hidalgo cuz they just suck in general and dont know how to play football and did i say mora:eek:ya he just sucks and weve given him chances som many times and hes ********ed up all those times plus he short cant save free kicks from outside the box...and he screwed up in the copa libertadores agsint a paraguayan team playing in quito letting them golaear his team : el nacional 5-0 in quito soo thats says it all

Yeah your right about all those players...they shouldn't be on the list. Mora had his time to shine and it was only for about 2 years...that time is over. Jorge Guagua never convinced me and he sucks...whoever thinks he deserves being on the NT is on something. Palacios is a disappointment to me. Hidalgo has always sucked, he's horrible and doesn't deserve to even start in Barcelona. I don't know what Vizuete or anyone see's in that player. He sucks at marking and attacking. No defensive strength in him and no offensive strength in him. He's horrible.

Pedro Quinonez was doing better in El Nacional....it's true, he did begin to start at the end of the season with Santos and got more minutes...but from the games I saw him play, he fouls waaaayyy too much. 70% of Santos fouls were from Quinonez. He's dangerous to have on the field b/c he could get red carded easily, especially if we have a bad ref.

Joffre Guerron, he's good but he needs to mature his futbol. I've said it a million times. Same with Benitez, same with Caicedo. They need to learn how to finish cuz they suck at it.

Carlos Tenorio...besides the 2 goals in the WC, he's done nothing for our NT. He sucks at finishing. He's the #1 MAMON. Benitez is #2, Guerron #3, and Caicedo #4.

But since we have no others to replace them we got to continue suffering with them.

I was wishing for Luis Bolanos and Patricio Urrutia to be on the list...ESPECIALLY URRUTIA!! This was Vizuete's biggest mistake...how are you going to leave Urrutia out of the list?? He's an experienced player who was the perfect replacement for Valencia and Mendez's absence. He's a great player defensively and initiates our wings to attack. BIG MISTAKE by Vizuete.
