    Woah, Salvies win again??

    Quien los aguanta ahora?

Though I think they're less likely than, say, the Hondurans to be obnoxious.

Are you guys missing any key players for this match? I read about one guy who asked not to be chosen for the NT this time so he could focus more on his club.. I don't remember who it was though.

    La convocatoria de Ecuador

Porteros: Cristian Mora (El Nacional), Marcelo Elizaga (Emelec) y Máximo Banguera (Barcelona).

Defensas: Jairo Campos, Néicer Reasco (LDUQ), Iván Hurtado (Millonarios), Giovanny Espinoza (Barcelona), Marcelo Fleitas (Emelec), Isaac Mina (Deportivo Quito), Jorge Guagua (El Nacional).

Centrocampistas: Edison Méndez (PSV Eindhoven), Walter Ayoví (Monterrey), Segundo Castillo (Everton), Antonio Valencia (Wigan), Cristian Noboa (Ruvín Kazan), Fernando Hidalgo (Barcelona), Pedro Quiñónez (Santos), David Quiróz (Emelec), Jefferson Montero (Independiente José Terán).

Delanteros: Pablo Palacios (Barcelona), Joao Rojas (Emelec), Carlos Tenorio (AL Saad), Felipe Caicedo (Manchester City) y Joffre Guerrón (Getafe).

Mariño stopped being NT material a long time ago, when he left Jerculis. Solano is old and frankly, he is done with the NT. Would prefer someone younger. As for the rest (the borrachos juergueros), they are not missing. It's not like they are suspended or injured. They are not in the coach's plans. Give up, fan enamoradas.

Ecuador is coming with a weakened team, quite weakened, with Valencia, their best midfielder, and Caicedo, who has really stepped up his game in England. We have for the most part our best team for this match, with Guerrero back (hell yeah) and Fano doing better than both Pizarro and Farfan recently. In midfield I don't think we'll miss Solano, so yeah, we have Ramirez and Merino is our possible darkhorse, possibly our ace in the sleeve, lets hope. In midfield we got De La Haza and Torres, who have been performing well, and Ballon who is a great young player for backup. In defense we got Rodriguez, whois in my opinion our best defender, skillwise anyway, and he is getting more mature in his game, stepped up to the plate in the UEFA Cup, we'll see how he does, and Zambrano, very good, but not experienced enough, he could have a very good game or a very bad one, you can't know with him, but he'll give his all no doubt. I excpect he'll have a good game, particularly with Ecuador's weakened attack, but it's not like Ecuador's attack is weak, they still have Guerron and Tenorio. Prado has been good in Cristal, he's been good since last year, he can do good, or Corzo might get a start since Prado got injured today, not sure how hard it is though. And on the other side is Vargas, who has refound his attacking football in Fiorentina in the last games, scoring a couple goals and getting an assist, and building plenty of play. He might play left midfield, though I expect he'll play left fullback, and Ecuador isn't bad, but they aren't AC Milan, Internazionale, Udinese, Juventus etc. so Vargas should be good in defense, I hope, he's got his confidence back anyways...

So Peru has their strongest/most enthusiastic hard playing team they have had this Eliminatorias, and I don't expect the fact they are eliminated to affect them in their enthusiasm cause they'll want to spoil others' parties and get out of that damned 10th place:( especially Guerrero, he'll be stoked especially after 1 year of not playing with la seleccion and seeing Peru slump to the bottom of everything. He'll be ragin in attack, we know he gives his all always and now he'll probably give even more. I hope we get out of last place and end with a good team for the Copa America and next Eliminatorias. Just cause we're out doesn't mean we give up, every matcch is a chance to get better and build towards a better team, the reformation we've always dreamed of. Now we need to work with our stars and the good young players to get out of 10th place and get a good balanced team. Congrats on Chemo for calling up Ballon, Corzo, and J. Sanchez.

    Chemo will probably go with:
    ____________Butron____________
    Prado_Zambrano_Rodriguez_Vargas
    _____________________________
    _______Torres__De La Haza______
    _____________________________
    Merino__________________Ramirez
    _______Fano____Guerrero_______

I like this team and I like our chances... I'd like to see Chemo add a younger defensive midfielder in place of La Rosa and to add Manco, Ismodes, Arroe, our youngest and most talented, promising players. However Manco and Ismodes definitely need to step it up next season, and Arroe is a bit young but he need to get loaned or get some time at his club, or at least get to the first team for next season.

arroe creo que muy chico todavia , aunque no me suena mala esa idea de ponerlo en las eliminatorias considerando q ya estamos eliminados y viendo a que edad algunos de nuestros mejores jugadores debutaron

On paper, we got the strongest team we've had in about 6-7 games.

Agree with bronco this will be the team, if Merino doesn't get hurt I would love to see what he can do with forwards like Fano and Guerrero up front. We have nothing to loose and this is by far our best team in the WQC (without counting AK7)

I was referring to how he does in la sele, sure he is in a lesser league, but it isn't a weak league and he is one of the best strikers there. And he is scoring and playing well with la seleccion unlike Farfan and Pizarro. He's a fighter like Guerrero, they should complement nicely and give Peru an offensive drive they havn't had in a while.

Esperen nomás que a Chemo se le ocurra usar el "espíritu luchador" de Fano y Guerrero para que todos les lancen pelotazos y "la peleen" (obviamente los ecuatorianos siempre van a despejar)

gotcha now, what you are saying might be true. Hopefully they don't get in each other's way, don't know why I have that feeling...

very true, hopefully we don't fall for that tactic...

who's going to watch this shit? I personally gave up on this pathetic team. This team is like the Detroit Lions of soccer, even worse. I'm not even going to watch La U anymore. I'm watching baseball or football now or the Magic ******** this. Watching Peru is like looking for a cure for midgets. What's the point of watching a team that you know that is not going to have any success. There's no talent at all our best players play in freaking Bundesliga ok league but nothing special. Young promises like Zambrano suck ass. Peruvian athletes are losers that's how I feel.
