You are right, Andy, this changes the whole dynamic of the silly season for us. The team has gone from sellers to squad builders. I cannot wait to see what happens. And this comes on the heels of such a disappointing season and a real fear for next year. This news is so unexpected and welcome. The fact that the stated focus will be on improving the stadium and training grounds with a view to keeping the good players is exactly what Pompey needed. Real stability. This seems too good to be true.

supposedly the due dilegence is complete and now its in the premier leagues hands to make sure everything is in place and all that. also, roberto mancini is heavily rumored to be the manager.
I would love Mancini as coach. Look at what Rafa has done at Liverpool with his connection to the Spanish game. It would be wonderful to have that with the Italian league. Also, he is a quality coach who did very well at Inter.
