WOW,my friend is the understatement of the year if this comes off.
It has said on the official site that the bid has been accepted.
So do we start wondering who is coming in and not who would be leaving?
Never boring being a Pompey fan is it?:D:D:D

You are right, Andy, this changes the whole dynamic of the silly season for us. The team has gone from sellers to squad builders. I cannot wait to see what happens. And this comes on the heels of such a disappointing season and a real fear for next year. This news is so unexpected and welcome.

The fact that the stated focus will be on improving the stadium and training grounds with a view to keeping the good players is exactly what Pompey needed. Real stability. This seems too good to be true.

Hopefully this is all sorted out this week and we get some stability and we see some forward momentum.
Seems to be dragging on but maybe because we get too impatient huh?

supposedly the due dilegence is complete and now its in the premier leagues hands to make sure everything is in place and all that. also, roberto mancini is heavily rumored to be the manager.

I would love Mancini as coach. Look at what Rafa has done at Liverpool with his connection to the Spanish game. It would be wonderful to have that with the Italian league. Also, he is a quality coach who did very well at Inter.

That is a relief. With all the speculation and the time the takeover has taken, this has been a frustrating silly season. Hopefully this gets done and dusted soon and the team can appoint a permanent manager and bring in some players.

Peter Storrie himself is now leading a consortium to buy the club. Al Fahim may be partnering the group. It will be interesting to see who else is a part of this. Hopefully there will be some good money, but most of all some real stability. Get this transaction over with so we can talk about football.
