MLS is making major progress on building soccer stadiums. Which league have better stadiums overall in 2-3 years time? MLS or FMF or rest of CONCACAF?

Can someone post FMF stadiums with capacity? Thank you.

Red Bull Arena will be an amazing stadium when it's finished. Currently about half done.

I don't think anyone in there right mind would doubt that overall, the USA has the most modern and nicest stadiums in the region. I mean, they arguably have the greatest stadiums in the world in every major sport. But does having the most modern and aesthetically pleasing stadiums make them the best stadiums in CONCACAF?

In my opinion, it takes a lot more than that. A stadium needs to have history as well as being nice to look at, and the USA (or MLS) just doesn't have that. Maybe in 20-30 years they might, but right now, many of their stadiums are not even soccer-specific, let alone have enough history to compare with other CONCACAF nations. With that said, i think Mexico currently has and will continue to have the best football stadiums in the region. Most, if not all have some form of football related history and are just great stadiums for playing football. Again, maybe they can't compare to MLS in terms of how nice they look, but IMO, overall they are better.

In terms of stadiums from my part of the world, well there really is only one that i'd say fits the criteria for what a truely great stadium should have. It's easily the best stadium in El Salvador and has arguably as much history as all our other stadiums combined. Of course i'm talking about the Estadio Cuscatlan.

    For another angle, click here.

An honerable mention also has to go to Estadio Jorge Magico Gonzalez.

Sadly though, it's one of the many stadiums in El Salvador with plenty of history, but due to a lack of money is just completely run down.

Wow, I had no idea MLS stadiums were that small in capacity. I think it might be because i'm constantly hearing about the Galaxy and their capacity is just under 30,000 that I assumed the rest to be around the same scale.

Are teams even profitable with stadiums in the 18-20,000 seat range?

Mexican league is getting a handful of new stadiums, but i'm too busy to go retrieve the images. I'm sure someone can take care of this soon.

I cannot stand the stadiums that have a track around them.

^ +1, I don't care how new the stadium is, a track just ruins it.

These two stadiums will be duking it out to see who gets the title of the best soccer stadium in the Western Hemishphere, not to mention going toe to toe with any soccer stadium the world has to offer.

It is important to remember that the stadiums posted here are all first division stadiums. There are a couple of beautiful stadiums that belong to second division teams. Monterrey's future stadium sure is cool looking.
