I think going for a 1836 Alamo theme is not gonna work. Pretty much every color that they used sucks the excepcion might be dark blue. I think it would be better to go for a "Fiesta" theme and go for "Happy" colors, maybe blue/yellow. Tigres (Monterrey, Mexico)
says the guy who's been here 6 months. Spurs had the fiesta colors in their logo before. It wasn't pretty. I like the tigres jersey. I even own one. But the blue doesn't say San Antonio to me. If brown is ruled out... i like the Black Yellow combo.
I like the idea of yellow we can use that as a start to see different combinations with yellow I like yellow jersey with black shorts Barcelona (Spain) Arsenal (England) Chelsea (England) - I know, but it's close to yellow
Deportivo Anzoategui (Venezuela) - The only Yellow/Red team that I can think of. Brazil "Selecao" - Yellow/Blue Huila (Colombia) - Yellow/Green
Sport Club do Recife (Brasil) - I think this jersey is PERFECT, their 2nd jersey. They are playing round of 16 in Copa Libertadores Do a search for "Sport dourada" (Sport golden)
If you're going to go with 'Crocketteers', I think you should go all the way cowboy western with the font.
I really like the look of that jersey. gold black and red. Of all the ones we've been posting, that looks the best. Looks sharp with the black shorts. I think that fits the Alamo 1836 look
My brother came up with this concept a month ago. We both agreed we didn't care for the big 'C' but it was a nice start. I'm gonna get him to give us more concepts for a logo shield/crest. Then we can discuss with the group. The goldish yellow goes good with the gold black jersey from Sport Club du Recife.
Ok, so we are set on these colors (Yellow/dark gold stripes and black shorts) as the "official" colors of the Crocketteers. I guess now we have to open another thread, maybe a "Promotion" thread to show logos that we make and talk about ways to promote the idea. Almost forgot, we need to select the RGB or HEX colors for yellow and gold to make sure that we are consistent and use the same colors.
I'm fine with those colors... however lets see if anyone has objections. Also we probably will have to change our colors in the event we get a team and they have colors that we should try and match.
I'm aware of that, we are picking colors for people to have colors to relate with the team/idea/dream. Instead of just been a name that's it. Hopefully it'll become true and they use the same colors that we pick. Here's another one, Juventus (Italy)
FYI (and, not that it effects USL1 in any way), it sounds like that color is one of the two that Philadelphia is going to be using. But with an Ajax style uniform. I'm not going to hunt, but it's the three vertical bands, alternating. So that would probably be something to stay away from in your "What about...?"
I agree. That shade of gold is kinda light. I prefer the previous posts with the gold and yellow hoops. That looks nice.
Looks like Sport Club's jersey is the closest "we are gonna get to the Alamo" without looking goofy. (beige/light brown/etc)
