Re: Felipe Caicedo - Official Thread Sorry man...but I'm happy as hell! The sad part is, Caicedo could have won it for them and Ireland even said so in is post-game interview.
Re: Felipe Caicedo - Official Thread Cris, why are you rooting for Hamburg if you are a Dortmund fan? Isn't that kind of like, hmmmm.....rooting for LDU if you're a Barcelona fan????
Re: Felipe Caicedo - Official Thread Caicedo's goal was a beauty!! [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZtvq3l9dBU"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZtvq3l9dBU[/ame]
Re: Felipe Caicedo - Official Thread LOL...Did you root for LDU in the Libertadores?? Besides the fact that I do not like Man City, right now Germany has 2 direct CL spots plus a play-off while Italy, Spain and England get 3 plus a play-off. With two teams in the semi, it helps German coefficient against to surpass France and be 4th...basically, it is closer to getting another CL spot. As long as it is not Schalke, I will generally root for the other German teams, even Bayern. My Uncle and Aunt live in Hamburg and my grandmother recently moved there from Bremen to be closer to family as my dad lives in Ecuador. I lived in Bremen for several years and it is my dad's hometown so I will root for Bremen over Hamburg during the next leg.
Re: Felipe Caicedo - Official Thread well he missed a shocker against hamburg, but scored a cracker. jurys still out for me. city will look to sell him though come the summer, i reckon anyway.

Re: Felipe Caicedo - Official Thread http://www.fansfc.com/story/10448.html City striker could succeed Heskey at Wigan Athletic04:00 PM 29 April, 2009 Steve Bruce is believed to be keeping tabs on Manchester City Football Club’s Felipe Caicedo. Since selling Emile Heskey to Aston Villa in the New Year, the Wigan Athletic manager has been drawing up a list of potential replacements to fill the boots of the powerful frontman. And reports suggest Bruce will ask his former Manchester United team-mate Hughes, now in charge of City, for the loan of Caicedo for the entirety of the 2009/10 campaign. The powerful Ecuadorian international, only 20-years-old, has struggled to nail down a regular place at Eastlands since his £5.2million move in January 2008, and he may relish a change of scene.
Re: Felipe Caicedo - Official Thread LOL. But seriously, what are the chances that two (three if Valencia stays at Wigan) national team players play on the same club? But it would be interesting if Caicedo and Benitez played together, it would (hopefully) help the national team.
Re: Felipe Caicedo - Official Thread LOL thats jokes, But if this does go down and if wigan also bring in benitez i dont see how They WOULDNT gel..with ample training and playing time side by side this could only HELP wigan but more importantly ECUADOR lol
Re: Felipe Caicedo - Official Thread Well I will chime in and repeat that if Wigan needs a replacement for Valencia on the wing, they should really consider Guerron. I'm not sure whose agents are involved in these deals, but I can't help to think the fit is ideal, given Wigan's love of Ecuadorians If Felipao achieves his potential and really learns the striker position, he will also be able to play anywhere. He is one guy that might fit in better in a more finesse league like France or Holland. I think players have styles that are hard to change, and Felipao is not quite ready to be a tenacious Drogba-type player that they love in England. He is more of a smooth, technical player.
Re: Felipe Caicedo - Official Thread I see him as being more similar to Emile Heskey. There's both big and have a towering presence, and you never see them dribbling magic to get past a defender. Heskey is a little bit faster though, and his accuracy is lethal.
Re: Felipe Caicedo - Official Thread I agree....I don't think Felipe can make it in England...atleast not now. He'll probably get more opportunities in Wigan but I doubt he'll be able to fulfill what Steve Bruce wants which is a REPLACEMENT FOR HESKEY. Caicedo is better off in Holland, atleast at this point in his career.
