Good game. We were more "thuggish/physical". Good turnout with the Sounders Supporters. Good to see a few of you come and eat with us before the game. Hopefully the people that were there will spread the word around that before the game we are cool people to hang out with. During the game, well thats another thing....

Sour grapes much? Just because your 5 foot nothing Montero and fragile freddie ljungberg got bumped off the ball all night, you're calling Chivas thuggish? Chivas is more than a wait and steal a goal team. They have scored more goals than most other teams thus far, including your self-proclaimed "skill team", Sounders. If you're not seeing the discipline, shape, and cohesive team defending that has made them successful... tsk

I fear for when/if Galindo and Razov see the pitch this year. I'll bet they "grind" out far fewer 0-0 ties than you think.

Is there one of you that aren't flight attendants or interior decorators in here? What a pile of feminized crap. I guess most of you are in Seattle, which explains a lot. Thank goodness most of the supporters at the match don't represent the lifeless appeasers in this forum. Grow some balls FFS.

Sore loser? Go see my congratulatory post right after the match I made in the Goat Pokers forum. Did you O' enlightened one do the same? I only posted trash talking in OUR forum.

It's called being a hardcore fan. Showing emotional attachment and basically being all for the Sounders and to hell with everyone else. NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, Cricket, Rugby Union and Parcheesi fans seem to understand, but the whiny, gutless, apologetic pansies that have assembled here is laughable. Why people give a flying **** what the supporters of other teams think is beyond me.

Now, as for being good neighbors, helpful, supportive and good Samaritans to all people in I'm all for it, and am very charitable to everyone in LIFE! (I'll gladly compare % of my charitable giving to anyone here.) This isn't the freaking U.N. though. This is a football forum. This is a FAN section of that particular forum and I see few here with the testosterone to be considered a FANatic!

I see a stadium full of these folks at the matches, but a sorry few here in this PC infested venue. It's OK, let it all hang out once in a while. You can do it to insult me pretty easily as has been demonstrated here and in the rep system, (talk about cowardice) now just aim it at the opponents...

    Lesson over. :D

That's almost funny. Being accused of sexual assault for weeks in the press, and finally being exonerated just before the game. Must have been a fun few weeks for a young kid from out of the country.

No kidding. Especially when the only justice system he's been exposed to is the Colombian system. One can only imagine how terrified this kid was during the ordeal.

I definitely did minus the cold pretzel's at the refreshment stand but otherwise, it was a very cool first time there. I can't wait to visit again as our rivalry gets better.

It's one thing to support your team, but it's another to tell anyone how to. There are many people who lurk and regularly post in this thread who come from many walks of life; it's not expected for any of them to conform to a particular set of standards.

But I get what you are getting at.

I am a hardcore fan of teams I support. That being said, one can meet up with all fans prior to and after match and get along. During the match, it is obviously all about singing and supporting "your" team to victory.

I just don't want us to resort to what happens between ultra groups, especially in Italy, as there is no need for that old school violence.

This football forum is also LIFE. We are human beings talking to other human beings. You are asking us to dehumanize other soccer fans because they support a team other than ours. Feel free to do so yourself, just don't expect it from everyone. I didn't go down to LA for the game, but the Chivas fans on the board have been super cool. I don't see any reason not to be cool right back. We can be for the Sounders without being against others. Also, I have no problem getting a little salty during the game. Just not necessary at other times.

That's really my point. I know and WORSHIP the effort so many here have put out to establish the Sounders community. I have a serious problem with those who dare to condemn the way I and if truth be told most football fans across the globe follow "their" club. I would welcome any fan who support their club like I do the Sounders into my home, or to a pre/post match gathering. Too many folks here think that trash talking and nepotism regarding a freaking SPORTS CLUB intrudes into real life. Helloooooo! We aren't all Obamaites! Many of us are human, self-aware, sentient beings who can distinguish real life from the support of a sports team. I understand many of you in Seattle simply don't have that capacity, as the support of Gregoire, Murray, McDermott, Cantwell and Obama clearly shows. (no smilies)

PS. Even libtarded idiots are cool in my book. I'll by you a beer or "green machine" at any opportunity. :)

Most football fans? Heh, I am sure you have traveled the world and sampled the breadth and depth of all football fans. You don't even seem to understand the fans of your own team. ;)

Here is another distinction I think you should keep in mind. While you seem to have an itchy trigger finger and want to fire at will, I prefer to let the other person deserve it first. "Anything less would be uncivilized." :)

One more douchebag internet hard man added to the ignore list.

I talked to some of the players on Sunday and they seemed less then impressed with the tactics employed by the baby goats on Saturday night. I sense a budding rivalry and it will be interesting to see how the return match plays out this summer.

I appreciate your passion but how about a little respect for your fellow fans? You've praised the support in the stadium but talked all kinds of shit about the people on this board. They're the same people dude! I'm in section 111 and I do my bit to rock Qwest on gameday. I'm damn proud of this club and preach the Sounders to everybody I can. So, STFU about shit you don't know. By the way, take your notions of machismo and political orthodoxy to the politics board. It doesn't belong here.

Who the hell says Americans can't set a better example and set a new standard for supporter's groups?

Agreed. Violence has no place in football. I never even came close to saying it did. I'd just like to see a bit more fervor from this group against the opponent. I don't know how violence even became a topic here. There was never, ever, even one mention of violence fomented by me or anyone here. Again, I reiterate, I ABHOR VIOLENCE! Just grow some balls and maybe dare to boo, or hurl a half-hearted insult FFS.
