I just noticed hat the Sounders website has line ups posted with Dragavon in goal, has that been there all week or is he starting?

It also has LeToux on the right which Matt Gashck(sp?) mentioned in the preview.

Well said. I was thinking the same thing recently. How awesone it is that we have a team to talk about and some games to discuss.

    Go Sounders!

Le Toux's execution is off tonight. Poor crosses, sloppy first touch, and a bit of miscommunication with his team mates. We have Nyassi and Zakuani who would be outright starters on many teams in MLS. They deserve a chance to show what they can do.

Of course Le Toux also deserves a chance to right himself; 15 minutes in the second half would be a fair deadline for re-evaluation.

If you can spare a paltry $20 for the entire season, maybe you should consider MLS Match Center

http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=36271&part=sports - You need to download the Sopcast software to be able to see it though.

Doesn't look too good for the Sounders. Chivas have looked dangerous on the offense and Lillingston is bound to be onside sooner or later. So Sounders may have to score twice just to get a tie out of this one. They're creating chances though, just need to start finishing them. Also they need to start applying more pressure on Chivas on the midfield. Now it looks like Chivas are getting too much time with the ball at their feet to pass it on. When Sounders are attacking they have a lot less space and time with the ball, kudos to Chivas for that.

Back to back weeks of not being able to capitalize on the chances. Oh well. Hopefully we can bring it around next week at home.

This isn't working. Time for a lineup change Steve needs to start. Evans gets benched in my opinion.

wasn't a good game, but the sounders played good soccer. here are my thoughts.

montero seemed invisible most of the match after the early miss.
    riley was horrid.
le toux should've been kept on the pitch.
    zakuani should've replaced evans.
can't wait for keller to come back.
great build-up, just lacked finishes from the first three matches.

the line-up i like to see next week
    -------montero-----jaqua----------
    zakuani--alonso--Ljungberg--le toux
    scott---marshall---hurtado-----riley
    -------------keller-----------------

Well, we looked like Mexico. Controlled everything, and I mean everything and choked away every chance while cutting our own throats. Sigi needs to make some changes. Losing to a pub team like this is a disgrace. Fortunately it's early and this rust will wear off. We've been twice the team in every match, but sometimes sheer luck will prevail.

Chivas is far from a "pub" team. Take your blinders off and realize that Seattle was out coached by Preki. Montero had a horrible game. HE was just plain lazy. Teams have figured out that if you foul him, he'll get frustrated and lose effectiveness. Jaqua is a doofus they way he stumbles all over the ball. Chivas played their game plan and took the points. Fredy should have buried that chance in the first half instead of getting cute with it..... things might have been different. Le Toux should probably not be starting in this line up. He hustles but blew several opportunities to be dangerous. Nyassi came on too late gain and we had a third sub that was not used.

Pub team...... you gotta be kidding.

Nope. Not kidding. Maybe I should say equipo cantina? They weren't even close to us technically.

Jaqua was the opportunity killer tonight in my opinion. I don't see what the point of a tall target forward is when we keep the ball on the ground for the most part. I give credit to Scott for coming back from last week's stinker and being a shutdown LB again. The lineup I would like to see:

    -------------Fredy-----------------------
    ----------------------Freddie------------
    ------------------Evans-----------------
    Zakuani--------------------------- Nyassi
    -----------------Alonso-----------------
    Scott----Marshall-------Hurtado------Riley

Montero has really sucked the last two games. He is selfish and not a team player. I almost posted a really angry rant about him, but I thought better of it. I was thinking of using the same lineup that Gringo posted, but with Jaqua up there and Montero on the bench. Ljungberg needs to go back to withdrawn forward, and Evans needs to stay in the middle. It might be worth trying Montero up top and Jaqua on the bench, but Nate is working so hard. By the way, Nate may look clumsy, but he created more chances for both himself and his teammates than Montero did. That tells you something.

Zakuani is good, but he is forced to play too much defense without Evans in the middle, and Zak gives up too easily on defense. Put Evans in the middle, and Zak has more freedom to do his magic. Nyassi was also very creative when he came in, but not so sure if he should start. Le Toux laid an egg offensively but was good defensively. I like the idea of starting Le Toux with the expectation of Nyassi coming in at the 60th minute.

    ------------------Jaqua------------------
    ----------------Ljungberg---------------
    ------------------------------------------
Zakuani---Evans-----Alonso------- Le Toux (Nyassi in at 60')
    ------------------------------------------
    Scott----Marshall-------Hurtado------Riley

was it just me or does anyone else feel that keller would've made the save on the second goal?

i think with zakuani and nyassi on the flanks, alonso can distribute the ball and have them use their speed on counter attack or attack on the flank. with tall man jaqua up front, i couldn't believe they didn't cross more balls into the box.

Wow, I'm sorry, but Jaqua is a big pile of worthless. The only time he does anything is when the ball comes directly to him then it's not enough. Otherwise he doesn't run at the ball, doesn't create space, doesn't do jack!
I'd rather see Letoux, Zakuani or even Levesque as a forward...anyone who has a workrate greater than a pile of dirt.

The goats had the Sounders chasing the ball for most of the first half and gave them the ball on the second to punk them on a counter, Preki did outcoached Sigi.

You guys have a nice solid team, and they are going to get better, but it was ovious that they are not still on the same level as the goats, whos backbone has been playing together for a long time

Wow, we saw a different game. I'll see if I feel differently upon a second viewing, but I thought he was actually creative. Someone mentioned that he isn't playing like a target forward, but more like a midfielder with the ball at his feet. Maybe the problem is that Montero was useless, and Jaqua was taking up his slack. Or maybe they don't work as a forward combo. That's why I would be willing to try Ljungberg and Montero up top as Montero was a monster in the first two games. But Jaqua worked hard this game.

Bullcrap. That's so far from the truth you could be an Obama appointee.

English is your second language eh?

Goat lite and backbone are mutually exclusive. Go bleat in your own sorry ass forum.
