This will be a tough game, our boys will have to fight for every inch, and be physical as usual. Kasey Keller won't be playing against us which is a good thing, however their back up keeper is good as well. Remember guys, these are the same bastards that have kicked us out of the US open cup. Lets pay them back, and show them how its done in our house. They are coming off from a loss to Kansas city, so they are beatable. Our defense needs to step up, Thorton needs to make great saves, and our mid and forwards need to score. Lets hope for the best.

    -----------Thornton

    Trujillo-Talley-Shavar-Jonny B

    Sacha-Bojan-Jesse-Gerson

    --------Lillingston-Esky

kinda bummed they lost to KC wanted it to be two undefeated teams BUT I'll take the top place also.
Without Keller I don't think theya re as good as with him, obviously, They will play a more conservitive style and won't be attacking as much, thats Sigi Ball.
    we win 3-1.
Hopefully the Fan Clubs will give it to Montero all night about raping women, F Him and those coffee drinking hippies

Oy vey! They'll never let up on the Montero allegations...

I think this should be the game of the week, perhaps the best game we'll see this season. Too bad Keller and Nagamura are out. I would have liked to see both teams at full strength as well.

Oh and I also wish we get a decent ref. Can anyone tell me who it'll be?

Nags being out kills us. Arguably the most important player for Chivas, IMO. I guess Sacha will slide into his CM role, alongside Marsch.

Hoping for a good game. Seattle's been a nice surprise and a great addition to the league.

Agreed. I think we're going to bunker down and hope for a goal on the coutnerattack.

Great input! Thanks for being friendly. Last week I went over to the KC forum to see what they thought of us, and actually admitted I was scared of them and they got all over me. " Stay at your own forums, One day your team will loose and you'll know what it feels like" sob sob sob. HAHAHA

Too bad you guys couldn't beat the Los Angelas Fallicy, I was really rooting for you.

I'm glad we lost our first game it's nice to have that monkey off your back because you know its going to happen eventually. Although Seattle-Chivas both undefeated would have been awesome.

So tell me what are your strong points? what should we expect? What about our team scares you?

    Here's to a good game!

I would like to see Gerson play in the middle with Marsh. That's his strong position he can set up players for goal all night long!!!!

    GO SOUNDERS!!!

that being said, i wish keller wasn't out. although, it is something the team seems to be rallying around. sort of a "us against the world" type thing. but we have a very potent offense with both montero, ljungberg, jaqua, and zakuani. so best believe we'll be putting some balls in the back of your net. and we may be with out keller, but our defensive backfield is alot better than people realize. and alonso is a beast. totally dominateing the defensive mid. should be an awesome match.

    i'll say 3-2 sounders!

I agree, Gerson needs to play in the middle to get the maximum output from him. This is my Line-up:

    -----------Thornton

    Trujillo-Talley-Shavar-Jonny B

    Sacha-Gerson-Jesse-Lahoud

    --------Lillingston-Esky

Seattle has a good team. It is very unfortunate that we will both be missing players that have a great impact on our teams. That being said, I think that we will win 2-0 on Esky goals.:D

With Nags out, we could see something like:

    Marsch
    Harris Sacha Gerson

with prolly Lillington and Esky up front.

I think Chivas can take this game. :)

btw, where you at? Ever come down to a game?

Anyone know if Montero is allowed to travel? I really don't know all the details about Montero's situation, just though we'd have a chance to see the squad without him. :D

Thank you for rooting for our beloved Red-and-white, Goreds.
Chivas USA strong points are quite a few but two of them come to mind.
    1. Our players play for one another.
    2. We have depth. Having a lot of injuries last season and this year as
well, has done wonders for our reserves and we can afford to play with
many different line-ups and the team will show decent cohesiveness.
The Sounders can expect a very hard match... the Seattle fans can expect a friendly atmosphere.
Five years ago, every MLS team scared us but now is quite different... just ask the Galaxy. However, Seattle is doing much better than I imagined.

    Good luck.:)

The situation has died down quite a bit, with no breaking news since it originally hit the fan. The Team sticks to the reason that Montero didn't travel to TFC because he was sick. Yes it probably would not have been smart for him to leave the country right then. But I would be very, very shocked if he did not make this trip.

As far as our teams go, I think it should be interesting. Chivas may be the only other team I notice that effectively plays the more traditional "latin" style of football our sounders prefer to play up the middle of the field. A very smooth passing offense with a little less. (Not wimpy at all, just more finesse) Which is my favorite style of football. Don't get me wrong, we both have our physical players. But our goal isn't just to mow everyone over. I think we will see a very beautiful game with some gorgeous passing and great goals.

I look forward to it very much. Obviously I would love to come away with a win. But I think if we can pull 1 point out of this trip I would feel successful.

he'll be there. the charges were officially dropped today. seems it was just some broad out to make a quick buck, and try to ruin montero's name in the process. i hate gold-diggers.

    go sounders!

We have a strong back line, they will surely be tested by the sounders.

    Hey chivas supporters-

Just watched the superclassico yesterday. You guys have excellent ball-control, apparently passing at will, no question. However - I can assure you that the passing and tackles of our sounders are a few cuts above that of LA - this will be a different match. We're a little anxious at having to choose a recovering #2 keeper or our #3 against you - but our back line issues should be a little more sorted for this game.

It sucked to see the ref really mess up the classico all over the place.

Here's to a good match, and I'll see you at the game.

Don't worry Seadoc, nobody on here would rate the Gals anywhere close to the Sounders. :D They're just lucky it was a derby (complete with a crappy ref) and Ricketts was on fire.

heres to a good game! *bumps knux*

    Hey Chivastas!

Before the "promotion" of the Sounders, Chivas USA was my favorite MLS club. Love the way you guys play. How's Galindo? I was bummed that he never really got going last season. I miss Panchito, Guzano and Paco. Glad to see Nags playing so well - too bad he's out with the red. Always love watching Sasha play (hopefully Ozzie and Evans can keep him in check). Here's to a great match!

effing sounders fans. yall are a classy bunch.
too bad you're in seattle, play in the western conference, and that CUSA exists. otherwise, itd be hard not to root for yall.

the crazy thing is that this year's squad is pretty much a complete overhaul from last season's due to changes and injuries. i really dont think galindo will ever be "galindo" again. best case scenario, preki uses him as a late sub and uses his speed and freshness at that point of the game. such a shame - that chronic sports hernia really does wonders.

RE: CUSA/SOUNDERS - should be a battle of 2 things:
1.the midfields - who will maintain control and who will blast it off from the defense.
    2. pressure - both teams have done a decent job of pressuring the ball when on defense. this obviously creates forced passes and subsequent breakaways. that being said, it should be a real hard-fought match.
