Some thoughts from the game on Saturday.

Great fan support from the rampage. Loved the drum, and the flags going back and fourth. Nice to see someone bring something from the outdoor game to inside.

Great crowd support tonight. Way better than other championchip games in the past at the Netural sites.

heard some rumblings that we could have up to 10 teams next year. That would be nice. Also hear that the XSL could be missing some teams as well.

The Rampage came into the game thinking that they could hold, grab, elbo(big time) and win the game. They had to resort to those tactics, since they could match up with our speed. Bumbut blew by one of their defenders to score, they just about raped Millwood all night, and he still scored.

Novi, threw a strait elbow to cabral with no call. Brooks should have been given a card for taking out Sagu. Brooks wasn't even close to playing the ball. The call on Sanaldo was close. Looked on a replay, that robbie got tripped and the ball went into Sanaldo after. 50-50 call. On the other hand could have been a make-up call after the non-call on Brooks.

Toward end of game: Valle, trying to push Millwood with hardley can time on the clock. Tyma tends to let the players play tomuch, and something like this will happen. I believe I saw the Kraft brother push or throw a punch at PJ wakefield before calm was restored. It was nice while the commisioner of the NISl was giving his presentation the head coach of the rampage was waving at the rampage fans instead of paying attentions.

Also loved how some of the rampage players wouldn't leave the field and wanted to get after the some of the blast players after they were asked to leave.

and it always amazes me how fans of a winning team always watch the game through rose colored glasses - that their team did no wrong
your loyalty is admirable but unrealistic sir
I have only been going to indoor soccer games for 5 years but in those 5 years I have seen wrong doing on both sides by guys who did nothing for 10 games and then 1 game committed a few fouls or did something out of character
for lack of a better phrase - "nature of the beast" my friend

I see what you are saying, but I was at the game and it was rough for both teams. Rampage were out to hurt as the blast were protecting themselves. Rampage could not match our speed, and went with the game plan of being rough and tugging and pulling on the Jersey's to slow the blast down. At one point one rampage player was bascially hugging Millwood. Another player almost pulled the millwoods pants down. The particular crew of refs that night allowed the Rampage to get away with alot more than usual.

Par for the course. Monterrey was also on the rough side of things this season too.

There's a price to pay when your team has a target on it's back and when you're wearing the Blast kit it comes along with that target.

There's also a positive flip side to that target as well... since you're going to be tightly man marked, you need to spread yourself out a little more and work the spaces properly, the goals will flow and Baltimore seemed to do just that and benefited from it.

I'm a fan of the sport first and a Blast fan second.

The Refs let the teams play. The majority of the penalties were for dissent or dissent related.

They missed a too many men on Rockford early (they had 6 plus a goalie on the floor for 4 seconds after a restart). The refs decided to give Rockford a warning for illegal substitution.

The call on Sanaldo was bad. There was no foul on anyone. The Blast player stepped on top of the ball and was tripping as Sanaldo slid out and got all ball to clear it. Initially the Refs were going to call a hand ball outside the box until the 4th official intervened. You may not have been able to see clearly from the Baltimore Street side but from the Liberty street side you could see there was no foul.

I will have to agree that Rockford probably had a visit from Gordie Howe last week because their elbows were flying.

Let me guess, Twisters will be back stronger than ever for 5 teams :D. Then The Sharks return(6), Another Mexico team (7), Wichita (8), New Jersey (9), and Milwaukee (10).

The Storm folds for the 6th time. Detroit folds because Hantz won't play ball with Hale. Sorry rumors. We all heard them before and the Storm folding is old, I mean I heard it since 2004 before they ever played one game. The Sharks will never return period. Another team in Mexico won't work. Wichita was and I mean WAS a great market but it would be like totally starting over. There is a new generation of fans who never knew the Wings. New Jersey and Milwaukee are staying in the XSL. How about the rumor of a current NISL team jumping to the XSL or is it a rumor?? If one team jumps then Hale will make sure he adds more teams because he has the complex where his league will be bigger than yours...case in point this year's Twisters. I wonder who in the NISL is thinking about jumping....hmmmm

There's a very good chance that Rockford and Philadelphia will join the XSL and Milwaukee and New Jersey will join the NISL. And Ed Hale will continue his assault of the alphabet and rename the league OISL to become the first owner to win championships in three leagues in three years.

Rockford joining the XSL would not surprise me in the slightest. They were in on the early discussions that led to the XSL's formation. It never made sense to me that they joined the NISL instead.

I can't speak for anything else, but I can tell you Philly will be playing Baltimore next year, whatever the league is called.

Funny how according to Mr. Hale, the XSL DIDN'T WANT PHILADELPHIA AT ALL when forming the new league. The Kixx didn't have a league because Hantz didn't want to do business with them. That was another reason the NISL was formed. The XSL also didn't want LaRaza at all.

Now, I'm suppose to believe that the Kixx will be a part of the XSL. Give me a break.

Milwaukee is going to stay in the XSL. It is NISL fan's pipe dream.Blast fans like the rivalry but it won't happen. The Ironmen are staying put as well as they will probably have some new neighbors...oops..nevermind. The XSL will however expand. Wait and see!

Someone needs to tell Cop 1st Mariner Arena's capacity. He said "There's at least 12,000 here, maybe 13,000."

Is there a way to fast forward the archived webcast? I just wanted to see the fight again because some people remember things very differently from my recollection.

On the bar below the screen, to the right of the play/pause and rewind buttons you can drag your icon along the bar and it will tell you what time you will drop in at when you click the bar.

All you could see was Millwood kind of hipcheck Valle in going for the ball, which is typical indoor incidental contact. Nothing dirty initially. Then the camera pans away.

I don't know if this was the case, but some players really cry if you have a lead and go hard for the ball. I will never in a million years understand this mentality. Again, I don't know if that was the case here.
