Its Easter, Im bored... Will Burpo start again or will Pickens be back? Kimura or Harden? Is Terry gonna be back? Will he start or come in as a sub? Any way Gary took his Ballouchy (aka Beer) goggles off, and will try something new? Will we finally win in Houston? discuss....
I'm a little concerned that Casey might get suspended for this one. He unintentionally caught a Crew defender with an elbow to the head in the first half that went uncalled. That's the type of foul MLS likes to go back, review, and possibly punish. Elbows above the shoulders are a point of emphasis this year so I'm a bit worried MLS might want to make an example.
I too agree with Jason. The play by us was real choppy and chippy, just like the broadcast. I think that Conor does get suspended. Plus, Harden and Gibbs ended up a lil nicked and thus why I believe he won't waste another early sub on an unsure thing. Especially on the road, and especially against Houston. I think Cooke is rested and should be ready for this one. Ballouchy has struggled. What's new? And I saw the same kind of giveaway in the back as I did the 1st 3 weeks when Kimura started. So, I say a rested Kimura might just help us run down H-Town's cherry pickin' strikers. Unfortunately we still don't win in H-Town. 2-2... I'll still take any points over no points on road games. It feels just like a lil mini-Victory! Pickens Kimura-Ugo-Palguta-Harvey Cooke-LaBrocca-Pablo-Clark Peterson-Cummings
Just fyi: Glenn Davis hosts a radio show in Houston and expects to have Conor Casey as a guest this week. The show airs tonight, Monday, April 13, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm MT (7:00 - 9:00 pm CT) on 790 AM, which streams online at www.790thesportsanimal.com. Calls on all topics welcome at 713-212-5790. Podcasts are usually available within a day or so at the station's podcast page.
I think we'll continue to see Ballouchy team with Pablo in the central midfield and Cooke start right mid (LaBrocca is not a wide player).
1560 The Game in Houston will also have Marcello Balboa on tonight about 8:30 Central (7:30 Rocky Mountain) to talk about the upcoming Dynamo/Rapids game. You can catch it streaming live at www.1560thegame.com.
1836! Wooo-hooo! So a slow spring week around here eh? Or is no one excited to see the Rapids add to Houston's early season woes?
Keep them winless in 09! I don't know why, but Barrett gets under my skin. Sunday games always feel like they are in the middle of next week.

My feeling is we will win 2-0, but I think we will draw at 0-0! Hummm.... Im glad they don't have DeRo!!!
At least the production by Telefutura is reliable. It's better experience even for a monoglot gringo like me.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLL! ;P [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQ6oz54qh9w"]YouTube - GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL[/ame] I wanna hear though! GOOOOOOOOOOLLLL en la Rapids!!!! Conor Casey! Goooooollll!!!! ;D
weve been playing so much latley i don't see how we can't win sure we played last tuesday but they get till sunday to rest and do some practceing way more then enough time to recover i'm going to say clark one assist cummings goal. so i'm going to predict 2 - 1 rapids win
I'm very happy this game is on Telefutura! Good camera work, and they always seem to know how to inject drama into the action.
While past performance is not a true indicator of future results, I see that Houston has scored 3 goals in 4 games while the Rapids have 7. Houston hasn't scored in the last two games, including a 0-0 home tie against Red Bulls. I looked at their boards a little and, like here, there is not much specific agreement, but I think that their midfield is not doing well since DeRosario left. Pointing out that a team is suffering after losing DeRo is a Captain Obvious sort of statement but the new crew may not be clicking well at all. So I think the Rapids can at least tie down there or even snatch a point. With all the midfield issues, our strikers have been lethal. A huge caveat has to be that Houston started slow last year and righted the ship (starting by thumping the Rapids) and Kinnear is a great coach who will work this out. But unlike last year, DeRosario is not there to lead the attack. It may take longer for Houston to figure it out.
If we stay aggressive, we can take 3 points from a good team while they are unsteady. Looks like there will be good weather in Houston this Sunday, but the pitch is poorly maintained at Robertson Stadium. That will mean some bad bounces. Here's hoping we get enough of 'em to go our way for a 2-1 victory.
Well the Discipline report is up and it appears that Nate and my concerns about Casey being suspended were unfounded. Gibbs is the only player listed on the 2 or 1 yellow card away from suspension list though (2 cards).
I'm behind on my Houston news, I just now learned that Robinson is out for half the season. ::Silent but respectful fist pump:: ANNDDD that loss of DeRo seems to be hurting them. I think it could be a good chance to sneak up on them. + I'm a tad bit curious to see how this Hainault guy plays for them hopefully Omar burns him good..... What is it with Houston and Canadians? I see Peterson listed as DOUBTFUL suppose that opens the door for the Cookie Monster!?! (I hope so)
This shouldn't be taken as sh!t-talking JayD, but if you didn't know that DeRo was gone, then yes, you are wayyyy behind on H-Town news...
Its cool, I knew about Dero, I DIDN'T know about Robinson. Just saying that loss of DeRo seems to be hurting them I never did get the part about WHY Houston would let him go. Guess they were sick always being so good.
I am sure it is somewhere here in the past posts, but if I have Comcast, what channel is Telefutura, if it is a Comcast channel? By the way, this does look more winnable to me than it has in the past.
