Just give us a little bit of fight and effort please. Thats all I ask for.

Let us at least go out with a bit of respect, it will be in front of the home crowd after all.

Effort and fight? We better win this game, nothing else is acceptable. Nice title though!

Well winning is just something I cannot see this team doing. Lets try to be somewhat realistic. If anything, Barca might have their heads on the semi final already and we could get a draw. I haven't seen any indicator of us being able to beat Barcelona, regardless of it being a home game or them taking their foot off the pedal.

Bayern should play good 1. for the Club respect 2. to show the quality of the team.

I hope we win this match, I would be delighted....

Oh god - the second leg !

Last game in the Allianz Arena with Barcelona, Messi scored one beautiful gol in the Franz-Beckenbauer-Cup. :D

Draw or Victory for Barca, 2-2 or 1-2

I really want to see Sosa ! Klinsi, come on ! Give the gaucho some love...

5-0 boys! 5-motherfrickin'-0. Ribery's goal against Frankfurt was to see if he can score from outside the box, because against the Barca defense he won't get inside it. So he's going to blast 5 past Valdez from outside the box, with Sosa setting him up for every one. :D

Was the 5 for Barcelona, Buyten or both? Some clarification please.

It has to be only for Van Buyten because of the way it's designed.

I'm sure Ribery's intent was to put the 5 for Buyten, but premonitory forces will see that the 5 is also against Barcelona! :D

Seriously though, I just want the team to push Barcelona to play at their best. Last time they beat us with one hand and foot tied together behind their backs. I'd like to avoid defeat in the same manner this go-round, if in fact we do get defeated.

how can you all be pessimistic like this there has to be hope. a glimmer of hope. when being realistic we all know we are out but there has to be hope of making it to the next round. at least a little. otherwise why create a thread for the game? why even bother to watch? let us watch and see maybe it could be one of those nights to remember. maybe our night. liverpool has istanbul. man u has barcalona 99. why can't it be our night?

I agree although, if Herr Magath does indeed end up with silverware we will end up with the proverbial egg on the face. I remember watching Atletico Madrid play Barca a few weeks ago and they were actually winning going into the late part of the game. Their strategy was to basically hack the crap out of Messi. Seeing as how Van Bommel does not know how to play without seeing yellow that should be fairly simple. I defiantely don't see us getting four in on them but 2-2 or 1-1 maybe. I am curious to see if Michael "The Wall" Rensing gets the start though, Butt looked fairly comfortable last week, granted it was Eintracht.

I'm watching to see if the ************** that stepped onto the field on Wednesday got their act together. I'm watching to see if they will play for the fans and the club or if they'll just resign themselves to another humiliation.

That said, I still expect elimination. I just want to see if we can go out on a higher note. That in itself should not be difficult considering the trainwreck of last week.

Anything other than a win for Bayern this game would like spitting at the logo of our shirt, absolutely disgraceful. We need to redeem some of the humiliation we experienced, it's also annoying how some of you see beating Barcelona as something only god can do. They can definitely be beaten, especially now that they don't have to win.

That would be the team spitting at the logo then, an absolute disgrace... This team should aim to win at no cost. We'll see on Tuesday, it's a shame because I would skip class to watch it at the pub with my friends but have to stay in school because of work.. Guess I'll just watch it while working again on a stream. :(

Adidas should make Bayern T-shirts entitled:

    "IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING"

    Except

    STOPPING MESSI

    :D

Maybe he can also give Messi a Chuck Norris roundhouse kick to the face and remind him he is playing at Allianz Arena now while he scores a brace and assists another goal at the other end as we win 4-0 and beat them on penalties at the end.
