Here is my end of the season power rankings: 1) Baltimore Blast - NISL 2) Rockford Rampage - NISL 3) Monterrey LaRaZa - NISL 4) Detroit Ignition - XSL 5) New Jersey Ironmen - XSL 6) Milwaukee Wave - XSL 7) Stockton Cougars - PASL 8) Philadelphia Kixx - NISL 9) 1790 Cincinnati - PASL 10) Chicago Storm - XSL 11) Denver Dynamite - PASL 12) St. Louis Illusion - PASL 13) Texas Outlaws - PASL 14) Detroit Waza - PASL 15) Wenatchee Fire - PASL 16) Massachusetts Twisters - NISL Folded: 1) Orlando Sharks - NISL 2) Colorado Lightning - PASL Next to Fold: 1) Chicago Storm - XSL Should Fold: 1) Massachusetts Twisters - NISL Overall League Strength: 1) NISL 2) XSL 3) PASL
sounds about right... It really doesnt help the perception of the PASL the fact that all their teams that played the "Cup" got crushed by Monterrey. I have no problem with Rockford being 2, although i would not object if La Raza was 2 and Rockford 3 (they're equals in my opinion)
It's amazing that neither of you recognize the WORLD CHAMPION Stockton/Los Angeles Cougars as the number one team. No other team can match what Stockton/Los Angeles has done in such a short time under the leadership of Jim Rachels. The new owners will only make the Cougars stronger. Led by PASL-Pro MVP Brian Farber and PASL-Pro playoff MVP Jesus Molina, the Cougars could esily be the best indoor team since Zungul/Segota. This is a more realistic Top 10: 1. Stockton/Los Angeles, PASL-Pro 2. Cincinnati, PASL-Pro 3. St. Louis, PASL-Pro 4. Denver Dynamite, PASL-Pro 5. Texas Outlaws, PASL-Pro 6. Detroit Waza, PASL-Pro 7. Baltimore Blast, NISL 8. Rockford Rampage, NISL 9. Monterrey La Raza, PASL-Pro 10. Detroit Ignition, XSL So you see, clearly, 7 of the top 9 teams are in the PASL-Pro and next year there will be at least 12 teams, so we might sweep the Top 10 in 2009/10.
I'd add a few more teams. Don't know much about the LMFR thus only Tigres in the list. 1) Baltimore Blast - NISL 2) Rockford Rampage - NISL 3) Monterrey LaRaZa - NISL 4) Detroit Ignition - XSL 5) New Jersey Ironmen - XSL 6) Milwaukee Wave - XSL 7) Stockton Cougars - PASL 8) Philadelphia Kixx - NISL 9) 1790 Cincinnati - PASL 10) Chicago Storm - XSL 11) Edmonton Drillers - CMISL 12) Tigres Dorado -LMFR 13) Denver Dynamite - PASL 14) St. Louis Illusion - PASL 15) Texas Outlaws - PASL 16) Calgary United - CMISL 17) Detroit Waza - PASL 18) Saskatoon Accelerators - CMISL 19) Wenatchee Fire - PASL 20) Massachusetts Twisters - NISL Overall League Strength: 1) NISL 2) XSL 3) PASL/CMISL/LMFR
Im not too sure about this, since i think the LMFR is more of a "PASL Premier" type of league than an actual pro league. I really do not know the level of this league (or anything else about it really)
The CMISL isn't really pro either... travel is paid for, but that's the end of it from my understanding.
Here's my power rankings, at least the top ten: 1. Baltimore Blast (NISL) 2. (tie) Rockford Rampage and Monterrey LaRaza (NISL) 4. Philadelphia Kixx (NISL) 5. Detroit Ignition (XSL) 6. New Jersey Ironmen (XSL) 7. Milwaukee Wave (XSL) 8. Chicago Storm (XSL) 9. Stockton Cougars (PASL) 10. 1790 Cincinnati (PASL)
I think you're selling the PASL and XSL teams short. And Monterrey, Philadelphia and Rockford would have had losing records if not for Massachusetts. edit: Monterrey would have been 7-7. Rockford would have been 6-8. Philadelphia would have been 5-8.
For those who questioned some of my placements 7) Stockton Cougars - PASL 8) Philadelphia Kixx - NISL 9) 1790 Cincinnati - PASL 10) Chicago Storm - XSL 11) Edmonton Drillers - CMISL 12) Tigres Dorado -LMFR 13) Denver Dynamite - PASL Edmonton lost to Stockton in the PASL Semi-finals by a goal. Tigres defeated Denver in a quarterfinal game and lost in the Semis. Since both made the Semis and Edmonton only lost by a goal to the eventual champion I placed them above Tigres. Tigres was placed above Denver because they beat Denver in their playoff meeting.
I would have to question your placement of the Kixx down at #8. They were the only team to beat the top-ranked Blast before Baltimore clinched home-field for the championship and started resting key players/rolling over, and they did so twice (including once in Baltimore). They also played second-ranked Rockford (splitting the series) and third-ranked Monterrey (beating them once and losing the other three games by a combined total of 7 points) very tightly pretty much every time. It's hard for me to see how this translates into them being ranked below 3/4 of the XSL and any PASL team.
Sorry about that. I cut and pasted Indoor Alter-egos list and honestly did not examine the top ten. The KiXX should probably be #5 Just below Detroit. However, Rockford handed the Blast their first loss on January 11 at Rockford. The KiXX were the only team to beat the Blast at home this season.
Here is my stab at this: 1. Baltimore (NISL) 2. Rockford (NISL) 3. Monterrey (NISL) 4. Detroit (XSL) 5(tie). Stockton (PASL), Philadelphia (NISL) 7. New Jersey (XSL) 8. Milwaukee (XSL) 9. Cincinnati (PASL) 10. Edmonton (CMISL) 11. Chicago (XSL) 12. Tigres Dorados MRCI Oaxaca (LMFR) 13. Denver (PASL) 14. La Cabana (LMFR) 15. St. Louis (PASL) 16. Cuernavaca (LMFR) 17. Auje del D.F. (LMFR) 18. Texas (PASL) 19. Calgary (CMISL) 20. Machado (LMFR) 21. Saskatoon (CMISL) 22. Detroit (PASL) 23. Deportivo Lomas (LMFR) 24. Colorado (PASL) 25. Liverpool (LMFR) 26. Massachusetts (NISL) 27. Wenatchee (PASL) 28. Constructores de Chilpancingo (LMFR) 29. Tecolapan del Estado de Mexico (LMFR) 30. UABC Ensenada (LMFR) Overall League Rankings: 1. NISL 2. XSL 3. PASL-Pro 4. CMISL 5. LMFR 6. PASL-Premier
