    about FC Bayern Munich

FC Bayern Munich (German: Fußball-Club Bayern München) is a German sports club based in Munich, Bavaria. It is best known for its professional football team, which is the most successful club in German football, having won 21 German titles and 14 cups.
The club was founded in 1900 by eleven football players led by Franz John. Although Bayern won its first national championship in 1932, the club was not selected for the Bundesliga at its inception in 1963. In the middle of the 1970s, the club had its period of greatest success, when the famous team led by Franz Beckenbauer won the European Cup three times in a row (1974–76). In recent years they have been by far the most successful team in German football, winning seven of the last ten championships. The club's last international title was the Intercontinental Cup in 2001.

Regarding the kits, Bayern's kits for the CL is all-white for home matches and all-blue for away matches (if there's no color clash with the home side). ;)

Oh dear, Toni has added a second to Ribery's first.
    Zwei-null für FC Bayern. :D

Meanwhile, Barça is appealing the yellow and ejection of Messi and Pep, respectively. But there is practically no way UEFA will grant an appeal on either.

Interesting tidbit for those worried about Messi getting another card and possibly having to miss a crucial semi leg or final: this season he's received only 2 yellows in La Liga and one in the CL, while he has drawn 23 yellows and 3 reds from defenders.

    Indeed.
The booking stays on Messi's record and Pep is suspended from the bench for the second leg. :(

Can anyone translate and explain UEFA's reason for not rescinding Messi's yellow? Are yellows not commonly overturned in UEFA competition because that call would clearly have been overturned in league play. Also, what are the current card counts for all players? I only saw that Busquets is one away and Rafa is obviously suspended so two more gets him another suspension correct?

UEFA usually doesn't give a reason as why they don't rescind. Safe to say they simply agree what with the referee reported in his notebook.

Márquez is sitting on three yellows and will miss the Bayern second leg.
    Busquets is on two yellows.
Alves, Iniesta, Keita, Messi, Piqué and Puyol all have one booking each.

Player receive suspensions after receiving their 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th bookings.

Pep should've made Busquets get his 3rd yellow in the first leg. IMO he should look for it on this match, miss out on the home leg and be available for the return leg on the road against Chelsea/Liverpool.

Good news is...that Messi won't play next game. But that doesn't matter.

There is an obscure new ruling from Uefa for the Final Game. Barring a direct Red Card (in the second semi), Players that have 3 bookings up to final can play in the final game. So even is Messi gets 2 more Yellows between the Qts and Semi's he coud still play the final.

And the reason Messi's card wasn't taken away for the Bayrn game, is that the rules don't allow for the comite to take away Bookings. Thats the rule, everybody knows this, Barca was simply going through the motions. What is cool, is that Pep was only sactioned for one game. The comitee could have suspended him for 2 games if they wished it.

Yes, the Sport article mentioned that UEFA doesn't overturn referee decisions as a rule, except in cases where the card has been given to the wrong player by mistake.

I'm a little confused, will Messi play against us or not? If Lahm plays, I want Messi to play vs us.

Don't pay attention to Sushi. Pep is notoriously secretive about his lineups. No one will know until just before kickoff.

Messi just played a full 90 vs. Recre. Important La Liga fixtures are coming up. It's 4-0 in aggregate. Would you play Messi and risk injury or fatigue under those circumstances?
