At least he didn't stay with Bayern to be embarassed by just about every team in the Bundesliga and outside of it....

They are being hammered by Barcelona right now and got hammered by wolfsburg 5-1 this past week...

Klinsmann might want to call Sven for some numbers.

    :D

We better get a (R) up on this quick or there might be some upset people.

Please remember to always include a (R) in the title if you are going to discuss the results of current games...

Injuries have hit Bayern pretty hard the last few weeks. Had he stayed I am sure he would have gotten some big chances to pick up serious minutes and prove himself. But I bet hes glad hes home. I sure am.

There is no excuse for how poorly Bayern played against Barca though. Barca is probably the better team but the match should have been closer.

Your initial points were great, but this part isn't. =) I'M glad he's home, but he's got to be thinking, "Gosh darn it, Bayern! You could have just forked over some cash, and I'd have been playing in the Champions League instead of getting beaten by frickin' Colorado. I really can't believe I'm going to have to play against Barca and ACM's 2nd stringers in stupid friendlies and pretend I care about the game."

But you're right, I'm glad he's back. 'Cause just imagine this squad next year, when Beckham opts out, Donovan finally gets his European move, and you're watching Tudela, Kovalenko, Klein, and Lewis try to make it through a full 90 without passing out or cleating someone.

BTW, just a thought, but how many current Galaxy players would you all say will be out of soccer completely 2 years from now? It's got to be close to half the team.

I just installed Skype on my Ubuntu linux computer. Never had it before. I have been talking with my relatives in Poland by letter, then email since 2006 (finally found them thanks to my geneaology research). Now, today, have seen them for the very first time with Skype. Video and sound were both very clear. They were in their apartment near Poznan watching the game and I could hear it in the background! They are big soccer fans there. Internet is amazing!

Isn't skype great? I use it to talk to my family and friends back home, since I'm on the other side of the world for school. It's amazing that it's free too, otherwise I wouldn't be able to talk to my family very much because of the price. And yeah, the video is great. I'm not that good at talking on the phone sometimes, and the video just makes it more natural. It's much easier to talk to my little sister that way, for example.

Bayern would have won today 6-4 had Donovan been there.

After losing Lucio, they look a whole lot like Ruud's Galaxy. Still decent going forward, but their central defense is nonexistent. And they even play the same formation.
