I think it's a thoughtful member money-saving tactic by BigSoccer. By doing this to the avatars and sigs, any of us who are premium members lose the reason for paying the bigger bucks, thereby helping our personal balance sheets. Hopefully we can get at least a partial refund
have you looked at your profile page since all these changes have begun to show up? your avatar, profile picture, signature, etc are still intact.
BigSoccer is now TELMEX It's no joke. They could have picked a better way to get our attention I'm getting tired of blocking their ads. That was part of the premium deal. If it keeps up, I predict a solid loss of membership, or at least the paying type...mine for example.
Referring to the joke itself (if it's a joke) or the fact they're using copyrighted logos all over the place?
This is stupid as stupid gets. As someone who has a paid membership, joke or not, unless I have been informed prior or it is expressly written in the TOA I want this crap gone or I will definitely not be getting a paid membership again. This is a piss poor April Fools Joke.
Referring to the fact they are implying I am endorsing the product by placing the logo right below my name without my permission.
Something I don't get about this transaction. Telmex sold Bigcricket and Bigfooty, for AUSD 7.64m. That is more than the $4.2m that they paid for the whole group. That doesn't make any sense.
Don't know about you but i don't like having things pushed on me i did not say that this was ok with me.And the fact that you can not get it off is bull shit
They do know that 90% of this message board is USA fans who absolutely ABHOR Mexican soccer, right? Man, Huss really pulled a fast one on those clowns.
Let's say for hypothetical sake that this is an April Fool's joke as some posit. What exactly is the harm being done to you by having a Pepsi Mundo logo under your name for a few hours?
since we're discussing hypotheticals, let's say said person who is taking issue with these pepsi advertisements works for a rival corporation - say coca-cola, RC cola, and/or shasta - and checks BigSoccer while at work.
Well for one it's not in any language I speak nor in the language of this board. Second, Pepsi sucks. Third, they didn't leave us a way to remove it if it's in fact a joke.
That has nothing to do with the three reasons you previously posted. Yeah, it would suck for people who work at Coke. I never knew we had such an overwhelming number of posters on here who worked there. I have a web site on my RSS reader that occasionally posts pictures I think others might find offensive with the sports news they provide. I managed to figure out a way to not see them, but still get the text. Remember, laughter really is the best medicine.
I was actually working at Maryland in PR in another area when they released that study. The people associated with it were swamped for a very, very long time because it was such a good story. Never met the doc, but heard he is awesome. I never forget that advice.
That may be the main issue. If it's a joke, it's not a funny one. Elaborate, yes. Extensive, definitely. Funny, no.
