I love how on my no-class day, I set my alarm to 9:30, because I have a meeting at 11 and need to shower. After laying in bed for 15 minutes, I get up, email the person with whom I'm supposed to meet, tell him I'll see him Monday, and try to go back to sleep, but can't. And here I am, awake at 10:30.

    Boo.

All this knee talk isn't doing me any favors for my first game of the spring on Sunday. That and I tweaked my knee in the ocean last week on Spring Break (I know, poor me) and it's a little tender.

he got my knee a bit but i am okay. thing is, that he didn't stop or even slow down. i didn't have the time to get a plate number or anything so that kinda hurts in finding him. he was backing out of the spot he was in, and never looked in his rear view mirror to see if anyone was behind. he just punched the gas.

    thank you.
it was comical that i rode in heavy traffic and get hit in a parking lot walking. i mean, how can you not laugh about it. but i am a little pissed that he didn't stop because what if i was hurt. i wouldn't have done anything or been upset if he just said sorry.

Good to hear you are enjoying the driving Devil. My family and I, on the other hand, have no money to pay for any driving lessions, so I am in limbo for now.

In fact that brings me to my topic of deep concern.
Somehow, my father has been miscalculating his expenditure, and is now earning a fair amount less then the bare minimums of living are costing.

I feel terrible for not contributing to the finance somehow, but as a full-time student, I have no time to work. I am working rediculously hard now though, in an attempt to win a bursary or financial aid of some sort.

Bare in mind, that the only money I now spend is on the food I eat, and my stationery and materials for my studies. I no longer go out and party. I have no car. I don't go out for dinner. I haven't bought an item of clothing all year, and my food costs have been reduced, proven by my loss of near 15kg's this year. I opted not to recieve Christmas presents as well this past Christmas.

It's not a sob story, but I thought I'd share this predicament I am in, as I'm not sure what to do about it.

In fact, my family and I are no longer going to the Confederations Cup matches that we have tickets for. Accomodation will amount to too much, so we will have to just make a loss on the tickets we have already paid for...

Just bought tix for the Milan-Chelsea match in Baltimore this July. Good times will be had - some tailgating before the match, then we'll hit Fells Point and/or Federal Hill afterwards!

Very nice. The closest game to me unfortunately would be in Massachusetts for the Milan derby, but that's quite a hike for one game from here. I just wish that NYC/NJ was part of AC's tour....

god i hate all this flipping out about swine flu stuff. sure a bunch of people have died from it but thousands die each year from regular flu and few people care about that. also the virus is mutating itself to become more contagious but less harmful so it can survive longer. i'm also pretty sure it can be treated with tamiflu which is used to treat regular flu as well.

Wow. That is quite an opinion you hold there...

Considering the press bleated on about Marcheda for a good week or two, I feel that the high-broadcasting of an issue such as Swine Flu is somewhat vindicated.

Of course, many die every year from many causes, so why the need to report genocides and such?

Hasn't there only been one death here in the US from it? And that was a baby or something I think. The media really needs to tone it down, it's not that big of a deal here. I mean I understand that hundreds have died and will continue to in Mexico, but that's because that country really isn't capable of handing a disease like this. They'll sort it out soon, and it'll all be done. But I'm sick of hearing about how it's a "pandemic".

And I love how Fox News especially is blaming illegal immigration as the main cause of the spread into the states. Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, and everyone else over at Fox are pimples on the ass of America.
