I gotta say...he's doing pretty well at Arsenal. I thought he was going to pull a Sheva. I guess Arsene Wenger must be a really good coach and leader because players seem to get better under his guidence.

Sheva scored 2 goals in his first 2 games and played ok in his first season anyway, so its not the right comparison at the moment. Plus I don't think Arsene has anything to do with his play, the dude is just a really intelligent and talented player. Now Arsene's system, yea, that you can say is maybe helping him fit into the team quicker.

It also helps Arshavin that the team scored like 0 goals a week in 2009, so Arshavin creating any kind of anything is like a WOW moment for Arsenal.

I don't mean this to detract from him, but was great timing great fit.

what a disgrace. hope shava is swapped for robinho

what is there to say. i'm sitting here scratching my beard wondering when judgement day for the scum bag known as wenger will come, (and when i'm going to get off my ass and shave this thing off).

http://videos.sapo.pt/qc1ZsMulbum88d7h3yYt 5 yards off-side. track down the post-match comments if you can, you get to see wenger lying through his teeth [like never before]. its' better than the Cramer comedy recently.

there was more drama as wenger was crying about time wasting and fabergas allegedly spit at hull's assistant

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/fa_cup/7949649.stm
Fabregas, who was out injured, later strenuously denied the allegation.
"I categorically deny that I spat at anybody after the match," said Arsenal's 21-year-old captain.
"I have never done this in my whole career on the pitch, so why would I do it when I am not even playing?

Pavlyuchenko said he wasn't demoted to the reserve team, just him and a few others played for the reserves last weekend. European media sucks, I'm sure this same situation hasn't happened with other players in the media  so lame...

From the article I read, it seemed like he initiated the interview to clear the air. He said a friend told him about the news he saw in the Russian media, and that it wasn't true.

Arshavin bringing in his hair stylist from Russia cause he didn't trust English fashion or something.....yea

Quality delivery from AA on the set piece and Bentdner scores. Necastle just tied it up as I type.

Yea, but he was getting dispossessed too much today. Played pretty good but could've done better, had that dribble through the middle of the pitch and tipped the crossbar with his shot. He should've scored in the box earlier, no excuse, his aim was right at the goalie anyways...

I think the goalie was diving the wrong way but the defender blocked it anyway. Te turn was nice though, and so was that run + shot that clipped the post.

Wow that's huge, 4 minutes into injury time. and what a sick shot it was. They've been really struggling the past few months. Good to see their captain get them a much needed 3 points.

Sheva came on in the 78th minute and made an assist on Milan's 2nd goal. Nice flick from Dinho and hesitation move from Sheva. These last 2 games, and the return of the wavy hair could be a good sign :D

Yea, really nice stuff from Sheva on the goal. The commentator said that him and Izaghi don't get along off the pitch ? Anyone got info on this ?

Re: FSU Players Abroad (Arshavin, Sheva, Pavlyuchenko, etc)

Inzaghi thanked Sheva for the pass after the game. I heard this from the Milan posters, and Inzaghi also mentioned that Sheva is in really good form right now. There were some Sheva banners at San Siro yesterday too. Judging from the 30 min I saw of him v. England it doesn't surprise me, he did look pretty sharp. With Sheva its more mental than physical, he's a confidence type player. Hopefully he can get some more time on the field and contribute even more.
