Ownership is in the process of changing hands. Orlando FC may sit out this season but the club and the city of Orlando are very much still apart of the FESL.

More info about what transpired during our meeting will be announced over the course of this week.

There's a few angles that should get your attention and your mouth watering.

Promotion and Relegation is going to be done on a very big level. If it all go's according to plan and your a fan of Pro/Rel, then you're going to be estatic over the up and coming news.

The FESL is also going International. Two major angles that will see the league, it's players and it's supporters get as close to Europe as possible.

Stay tuned and keep up the support.... and don't be shy over at our own message boards, we need some extra life over there.

It's all about you the supporters and the players.

Space Coast Strikers are less then an hour from downtown Orlando. Strikers are also looking into moving to an upgraded home field... pretty sweet soccer specific stadium. Strikers organization is super from top to bottom, make sure you check them out sometime.

As to Orlando FC, it's all about the changing of hands of ownership. The new owners will be moving the club to the southern part of the city. We as a league want to make sure they have everything in place so that you the supporter are able to enjoy every second your experience.

So they are moving out of Seminole County? I assume that's what you mean by south of the city. I guess that's good though to be in the same county as the city that your named after. Is any one else coming into Seminole County?

As of right now Orlando FC will be playing out of the Winter Haven area.

2010 should see another team coming into the area... possibly either Kissimmee or Sanford area.

    FESL International --

In keeping with the league's objective of bringing the International soccer world to it's players and supporters doorstep, the FESL will be kicking off it's International initiative.

The league's first step toward creating a permanent link between the FESL and the entire world will be it's first annual International Tour. The international tour will consist of the best players from within the FESL playing on foreign soil against top and mid level opponents from across Europe and the Caribbean.

Currently the FESL is planning on embarking on it's first annual International Tour in January of 2010 against clubs to be announced in the near future.

2009 FESL Season to begin promotion & relegation process

The end of the 2009 regular season will see two teams fight it out for the right to remain in the 2010 FESL Elite League. The 8th placed team at the end of the regular season will host the 9th placed team in a relegation match with the loser being relegated into it's respective regional division with the winner moving into the 2009 playoffs to face off against the 1st placed team.

The 2010 season will see the inclusion of the newly created North & South Divisions (F-League) which will be one step lower then the Elite League. Rounding out the promotion and relegation pyramid will be the FESL regional leagues. Regional leagues will initially take place in a minimum of 6 FESL established cities with league taking place during the fall/winter. The winners of each regional league will play in a one match knockout series with the winner being promoted into the F-League. As the regional leagues expand, so will the promotion and relegation process into and out of the regional leagues.

Tentatively the Promotion / Relegation system would work as follows come the end of the 2010 season :

    FESL Elite League (E-League)

Bottom two teams are automatically relegated into the F League
3rd from last will play 3rd best team from the F League pro/relegation

    FESL F-League

    North Division

1st place is granted automatic promotion in the E-League
2nd vs. 2nd South Div., winner plays 3rd from bottom in F-League
Last place vs Northern Regional League Champ for pro/rel

    South Division

1st place is granted automatic promotion into the E-League
2nd vs. 2nd North Div., winner plays 3rd from bottom in F-League
Last place vs Southern Regional League Champ for pro/rel

    Regional League's

Champions broken into two divisions based on location
Champions play 1 match knockout series
Winner of each division, 1&2, play vs. F-League last place team for pro/rel

    FESL League Cup

A League Cup is also slated to begin no later then the 2011 season with all teams taking part in a one match knockout series that will pit all teams from the E-League to the Regional Leagues via a lottery draw. The winner will play the winner of the F-League in a one match cup series before the start of every spring/summer season.

    huh?

    Per US Open Cup's website:
    Participating Clubs
Dynamo New Tampa (FSSL), Galactics (FSSL), Lynch’s F.C. (BASL)

    http://www.usopencup.com/2009qual/USASA/284764.html

    No 'Jacksonville FC' listed.
FESL isnt part of USSF so their teams cannot play in the US Open Cup.

Jacksonville FC is , Lynch's FC of Jacksonville, also formerly known as DS Utd.

Lynch's FC is under both umbrella's, USSF and AAU.

There's been a lot of questions lately about the FESL and it's team that could be easily answered if one were to simply visit the league website.

In keeping with the above train of thought, one would also presume that many of you are also unaware of the many updates that have transpired over the course of the past few months.

The FESL has incorporated many services that brings you the supporter closer to our players/teams. Head on over to www.FESLSoccer.com and check out some of the following....

FESL Connect --- A free travel service that will enable you to hit the road, air or rail and follow your team with little effect to your wallett. Marriott has also teamed up with the FESL to make sure you're pampered by the best in the hospitality industry. The FESL will get it right on the pitch and Marriott will get it right off of the pitch.

FESL Facebook --- Certainly not a ground breaking partnership but it's a useful one that has already seen a free vacation being given away through the FESL's private Facebook supporter giveaway. Sometimes life is all about the little things and a little click of the button on Facebook has someone packing their bags for a Bermuda vacation.

FESL Twitter --- While the NBA and WPS have been making waves about their players n fans who use the Twitter service. The FESL has been using Twitter for over one year ! Make sure you sign up with the new FESL Twitter service that puts you directly in touch with the league front office and it's players.

FESL Mobile --- FESL highlights right to your phone... anytime, anyplace, just click it and watch it no matter where you and your phone are.

FESL Promotion/Relegation --- The FESL is yet again proving it's self to be ahead of the times and moving in directions that only other aspire to be in. The Pro/Rel system will have fans, players and owners on the edge of their seats all season long. Now, every single match plays an important role as to wether you're city reaches new heights or new lows.

.... tons more. Roll up your sleeves and get involved.

Lynch's FC of Jacksonville to represent state of Florida :

Lynch's FC of Jacksonville wrapped up their US Open Cup state qualifications last Sunday against the Clearwater Galatics. With the match being awarded to Jacksonville after the fielding of illegal players by the Galatics, the win for Lynch's put them atop of their group for good and they now move on to regional qualifiers on May 16th.

Regional qualification will be taking place within Jacksonville, making Lynch's FC the odds on favorite to move into the bracket phase of the Open Cup and a potential match up against USL & MLS teams.

Question. Is the name of the club Lynch's FC or Jacksonville FC? The badge says Jacksonville FC, but then in every write up it is called Lynch's FC. Decent badge BTW, much better than the new FC NY badge
