Is there some super secret pre-sale for home opener tickets that I am not aware of? Is it going to be easy to get tickets for the first game? I am concerned because I bought airfare to Seattle to be there for the opener and I will be pretty bummed if I can't score tickets to the game. I want to be in the supporters section (don't worry, I'll do the songs ) Does ECS have separate ticket selling capabilities like some of the other MLS supporter groups? There seems to be a real scarcity of information on single game ticket sales. The website says that they will start selling March 2, that seems like it's cutting it a little close to the home opener. Are they planning on selling out the stadium without letting single game tickets go on sale? Is the capacity going to be restricted or are they going to make a one time exception for the opener? I tried looking for other threads on the subject before starting this one but didn't see any...the "no upper bowl cover" thread didn't seem to have any info on single game ticket sales.
Single Tickets go on Sale on March 2nd. Perhaps the supporters group can hook you up though. I am not sure how that works.
ok, great...thanks for the reassurance gregro and sounderman. I'm just paranoid about not being able to score tickets after having planned a trip there. I will be ready to purchase at 10am on March 2nd.

Yea i'm waiting for march 2nd to come also hopefully i can get the best seats that are still available
My understanding is that doesn't even count the partial season ticket holders like me who bought 7 and the opener.
As pointed out in this article by David Falk (http://www.examiner.com/x-413-Seattle-Soccer-Examiner) the FO has announced they are opening up "more of the lower level", which I am sure means the Hawks Nest. This will bring capacity to over 27,000. I honestly think there will be such a demand for tickets to the opener that they will open up the upper level. Realizing they needed 3000 extra seats for the opener, 10 days before single game tickets go on sale, is good sign.
I believe the part they are opening first are the sections above the GA in the South End. I know this because they were worried that the people that buy tickets in those seats will be upset when we (ECS) have our flags up. Sounds to me like the ticket reps need to explain to anyone buying those tickets that they are behind the supporters group.
Not only is there the Hawks Nest, but you also have rows AA-QQ of sections 116-128. If you look closely at the Sounders seating chart, those are shown as tarped off.
OR get to know a season ticket holder. We'll have first dibs on single game tix. I'm sure we won't scalp ya too hard.
Got my tickets, I wanted at/near the supporters group but for some weird reason it would only let me get tickets in section 127 (row DD), non-alcohol section . The 3D seat viewer for the Sounders has this section as tarped off, but I looked at the Seahawks 3D seat viewer. Edit: I misread it, the non-alcohol sections are 100-103
Tickets are going fast, I just checked again and there only scattered singles left for the $20 sections. That was fast!
I logged on right at 10:05 and got two tickets in section 118. Out of curiosity, I checked again an hour and a half later and both the 20 and 25 dollar seats were gone. As of right now, the opener is completely sold out - with something like 32,000 tickets sold for that game! Damn.
I couldn't get a GA ticket when I got mine. Was able to get a $25 ($35 after the TM fees) ticket in section 130. Was hoping for GA, but there's not a bad seat in the house.
in all honesty, and what pisses me off, is tickets sold out in less than a week. they still have 18 days left, un tarp one side off the upper deck, its going to sell out, and keep one end tarped, then just tarp the other side back up after, we all knew tickest for this game would go fast
It was announced month ago that the upper decks would NOT be open. This was an arrangement made WITH THE LEAGUE. Away supporters ahve been ableto get tickets for a few weeks so there is no excuse for missing out.
