Re: Dynamo Offseason Rumors and Transactions II Did the Millwall fan just analogize DeRo leaving for Toronto with a player from Millwall leaving for West Ham? I assumed that the Millwall/West Ham rivalry was slightly more intense and meaningful than a "rivalry" between 2 teams who have played 4 relatively meaningless games against one another.
Me too.... but where is he now? Last I saw he was with All Boys, but I don't see him listed there anymore.
i know where he is, but i was saving it for next weeks 1560am amateur hour (). i made a contact from Argentina that i trade Caraccio e-mails with.
Re: Dynamo Offseason Rumors and Transactions II It's a shame to see him go, but that's modern sports for you. I think most true fans will never forget this moment and therefore never have the capacity to hate DeRo.
Re: Dynamo Offseason Rumors and Transactions II Or this - I took it after Deros' goal in the Dynamo San Francisco Game where he came on around minute 70 when we were tied, stole the ball from a defender turned and sank it in the goal. This is my favorite DeRo photo. I wish him well.
Cerritos was in USL 2 last year. I think one of the Maryland teams, Real Maryland or Crystal Palace Baltimore.
Re: Dynamo Offseason Rumors and Transactions II Some of you folks assume that DeRo going to Toronto was initiated by DeRo. I'm not sure that is a completely solid assumption. I think the true details of all that have never been clearly released and I bet we will never know. For those who want to treat the guy like Judas or something -- that is an aspect of supposedly "true" fandom that I just don't agree with. I like some aspects of what fans from traditional soccer countries bring to us. Irrationality is not one of them.
Re: Dynamo Offseason Rumors and Transactions II That is my favorite DeRo moment, probably it's a lot of people's.
Re: Dynamo Offseason Rumors and Transactions II Well association football is MY religion Millwall. It's not like he signed with Pachuca cuz they dangled their pocket book in front of him and he ditched us for the almighty dollar...he's going back to his old stompin' ground. Next offseason topic.
Re: Dynamo Offseason Rumors and Transactions II Exactly, downhome Houston folks don't tend to act in that way. De Ro might not be a DYnamo anylonger, but to my family he will always be a Houstonian. Hell, Hakeem went to Toronto, Nolan to Arlington, Earl to N.O and Moon to the Vikes.. but in my heart they are all like DeRO , real Houston Heros! Jah Bless Him and the DeRosario Crew!
Re: Dynamo Offseason Rumors and Transactions II That DeRo play against San Francisco was one of my favorite Dynamo plays of all time. With that said, he gets a golf clap from me when he is introduced at Robertson, but from then on I wish him no luck at all for the next two hours.
Got it from a reliable source, Dero most definitely did not initiate this move, there's some shady dealings that happen in the background that probably shouldnt come to light (ie Caraccio, Caig dealings) either way Dero pretty much cemented his hero status while he was here... oh and Caraccio dropped from All Boys to third division in Argentina.....
geez, I don't think we should give him an Eddie Giacomin return but the man did win us a Cup and deserves us a bit more of a gold clap.
