And I forgot to mention the excellent accents at the table and also from the press Except for the Bozo asking what the number was.
Re: Dynamo Offseason Rumors and Transactions II Ran into DeRo at Dave and Busters on Richmond today. He and the fam were enjoying some time together. He told me that things are transitioning nicely. All is well basically. I told him that was miss him but are happy for him. Great guy all around.
Re: Dynamo Offseason Rumors and Transactions II Still in Houston? I played with a guy from Toronto at UH and he said Toronto is awesome this time of year. He must really like the city. I like him even more now...I need me a DeRo jersey.
Re: Dynamo Offseason Rumors and Transactions II I would imagine his family is staying at least through the end of the school year. But it wouldn't shock me if they spent summers in Toronto and headed to Houston in the offseason. Canada's freaking cold.
Re: Dynamo Offseason Rumors and Transactions II DeRO= JUDAS Carrying on with the "great guy" stuff he robbed us last season and then moved on without so much as a "by your leave" At Millwall one of our greatest ever Edward Sheringham was beloved until he moved to West Ham going forward his name is totally shunned by the faithful Luions supporters. Should be the same with redo
Re: Dynamo Offseason Rumors and Transactions II And yet Jesus himself would forgive even his traitor Judas...so it is I, a humble Dynamo die hard, who says we overlook DeRo. El Brujo De Rosario can always be remembered as a Dynamo man that gave us many doses of alegria pa la gente, as a class footballer, and a man who always spoke of his attachment to us fans in Houston. Granted he also probably put in a transfer request and thus left our Houston field after that Firpo win when we had no idea that he would not return in '09. The players change but the Wildcatter Orange jersey stays the same.
Re: Dynamo Offseason Rumors and Transactions II Judas is a bit strong since he is from there and is returning home instead of going to South Oklahoma. He will be remembered for his time and contributions here but when he takes field against H-town with Mountie FC he becomes one of them.
How Do We Treat DeRo? I am sure this goes without saying, but I would assume we are going to treat DeRo with cheers and applause before the game. Am I wrong?
Re: How Do We Treat DeRo? Before and after game with respect and admiration. During the game.....with the passion of Naranja!
Re: Dynamo Offseason Rumors and Transactions II Yeah...Judas? Come on. The guy obviously is a family man and a devoted husband. He's thinking of his long term future. I would venture to say that we all would do the same. Now......who are we getting next?! Tee hee heeee!!!
Re: Dynamo Offseason Rumors and Transactions II i'm pretty sure the hyperbole is the point... if Judas can be forgiven, then it should be absolutely no problem to "forgive" DeRo's desire to return home.
Re: How Do We Treat DeRo? DeRo has a choice. he can be cool with us (see: Ale Moreno) or he can "be dead to us" (see: Ryan Cochrane, Adrian Serioux). DeRo meant so much to this city, this team and this fanbase that i can't wait to see how he reacts if he scores at Robertson. does he celebrate like he usually does and stay in our good graces or does he not celebrate and thus annoys a portion of the TFC fanbase? it'll be interesting.
Re: How Do We Treat DeRo? my bad. forgive me bigsoccer gods. i am not worthy. i just wanted to make sure he gets the respect he deserves. jeff kent was run out of town not by his choice and there are still jackass fans that boo him.
Re: How Do We Treat DeRo? i bet you would love that. then you and bunch of your like-minded friends on here can hang out with people that always agree with you.
Ignore DeRo or Atpag? Or both? I believe DeRo when he talked about how happy he was here and how much we the fans meant to him and his family. I think there's a lot of mutual respect that we feel and will be shown when he plays here.
I don't know about you guys, but I support the Dynamo. I don't spend much time worrying about what former players do or don't do.
there's a tradition in certain football countries to follow the exploits of players who have endeared themselves to the club, city or fanaticada. 2 examples: C. Blanco: this dude grew up a Club America fan, went up through their system and was a hero to the CA SG. its not uncommon in Mexico to spot peeps wearing C. Blanco's Valladolid or Chicago Fire jersey. last time i was in Mexico City's airport i saw a local kid wearing a Blanco Fire jersey and this was before he had even played for the Fire (in 2007 right after he signed). Guillermo Barros-Schelotto: this dude probably never pays for dinner or drinks when he's walking around Buenos Aires. this dude is a god to Boca Jr fans as he was the midfielder for numerous of their 90's-00s trophies. there's a famous pic that floated around MLS General forums of a kid at a Boca game straddling the 10 foot fence that surrounds the stands wearing a Barros-Schelotto canary yellow Colombus Crew jersey. the Dynamo are now starting year 4 and as our core players start to leave us some of us will continue to follow the exploits of the players that were responsible for putting those 2 stars on our crest. so if you don't want to waste your time following these players that's your thing, but i was ready to learn basic Turkish just to see what Jo-Jo & Boswell were up to . ps - to this day i still follow Caraccio. i hope the young man rights he's career.
Re: Dynamo Offseason Rumors and Transactions II you boys don't get it its not about the bible or the lord its football and fans don't forgive this type of behavior, is it the right thing for him probably but not good for the orange so not good for the true fans end of
Re: Dynamo Offseason Rumors and Transactions II I'm not sure having an unhappy DeRo was good for the team.
