Arshavin was not allowed to play by the FA because it was a replay leg, and he was not on Arsenal for the first leg.

Please, compared to Kovalchuk or Datsyuk's partners, she's a saint.

WTF was she doing saying that, and why did he have his weird ass interviews before he even played a game? Is this his brilliant agent at work again, thinking that it would be good publicity for people to get to know him better

I forgot the source of the interviews, but wasn't it the Sun or the Daily Mirror? Not exactly the pinnacle of English journalism.

Check out how good Hleb was in Stuttgart. I know it's youtube but he really was a phenom and it sucks that he's not reaching his potential. He needs to play behind the striker(s) again.

His cuts are so sick. The way he disguises his moves, his hip movements are crazy. Nice video, the clip I like the best is at 2:12, after he made that first turn that crazy loop he makes to get his angle back was sick.

I wrote here that I couldn't understand then, and I still can't understand what Hleb was hoping to gain by a move from Arsenal to Barcelona. He was a key payer at Arsenal, and now forgotten in Barcelona.

Apparently Pavlyuchenko is all miffed that English announcers can't pronounce his name.

    Wow Tymo fluent in German:
"I understand the language well because I learned it in school," he revealed. "I speak fluent German.
"I know there are a lot of very long words which are hard to pronounce, but seriously, I know enough words to get by in day-to-day life."

As the saying goes, "не..уй было критиковать Шевченко".

"In the anti-Sheva camp, there was a **surprisingly forthright critique offered by **Arsenal’s Aleksandr Hleb. There is a subtext here, as the Belarusian has long vied with Shevchenko for the mantle of best player from the former Soviet Union, a rivalry fuelled by the monthly ratings run by influential Russian sports daily Sport Express. “I was never convinced that Andriy would be able to play here,” said Hleb. “The problem lies in the style of the English league, in terms of the tempo and the time you get to think. The Italian and English leagues are two very different propositions. And the younger a player is, the easier it is for him to adapt and get to grips with English football. The older you get, the harder it gets. Shevchenko is not the first great footballer who has not managed to crown himself in glory here. I would never have risked coming to England towards the end of my career.” " (http://www.wsc.co.uk/content/view/531/29/)

EPL is too physical for Sheva??? I am sorry, La Liga is to technical for Hleb. Stuff it.

He wants to "win trophies." Just like Adebayour and Fabregas will decide they want to "win trophies" and go to Barca. In reality they should look in the mirror, because who does win the trophies in the end?

Yeah, I've met plenty of Ukrainians who speak "fluent" English, German or French. Its funny how you compare the meaning of the word fluency between cultures. Swedes won't say their fluent unless they can read Dickens, a Ukrainian knows "shank you" and they're fluent.

Funny story. A friend of mine was completing his doctorate at a Ukrainian University. He was presenting in front of the faculty in English, and said something along these lines,
"In business, it is always important to get ahead of the competition."
A faculty member stopped him and asked in Russian just why he intended to decapitate the competition.

Turned on the game at 30 min, so far Arshavin hasn't done too much, the last 5-10 min or so he had some decent time on the ball.
