    Some recent comments from Beckham.

"I had a feeling I would do well, but I didn't expect to have so much fun,” added the Englishman. “The approach during training and the atmosphere are the best I have ever experienced in my entire football career.

"[Carlo] Ancelotti is an important coach and, when you enter the dressing room, you begin to feel the great atmosphere.

"[Paolo] Maldini has also helped me settle down. He has charisma and personality and he is a great friend."

Its reported that Beckham is willing to to pay from his own pocket now to stay.

as the beckham saga continues. My real question is, what effect this has on gourcuff's return. It seems more and more unlikely.

Anything beyond 5mil is extortion, and should be complained to Interpol. He is 33 y.o for crying outloud. I mean they can keep him, but there would be no return from this spoiled merchandise.

At the end of the day they will him, it just the matter of buyout that will have to be renegotiated.

damn good point. that and it'd really stick it to mls and the galaxy that he would pay out of his own pocket to never come back. :D

Valencia's financial condition is so bad that they haven't even paid their players wages ..
Perfect opportunity to get David Villa/Silva.
I know its wishful thinking ..

Valencia's management is going to take 150k Euros from each player and use that money to upgrade the locker rooms and install a state-of-the-art pitch and, so, stimulate the club's economy. They'll be fine.

Honestly, I can't see either of those guys adapting very well to Serie A.

Silva probably wont, but Villa may be...

although i couldnt live through another jose mari incident.. but villa is much, much better...

doesnt matter though, I dont know why we would need villa... we only play a single striker anyway, and he would just hamper pato's development... oh and pato will be better than him in like a year or 2...

Milan would gladly loan out Sheva and Maldini to LA. But maybe that's because Milan don't own Sheva(Chelsea does) and Maldini is retiring at the end of the season. ;)

Guys - I put this on the Italy thread ......

    https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=951974

There is a BS blog on the home page where the author refers to us as Eye-Ties. Nice language. It is about the Beckham dealings. Go on his blog and lay it on him. Un figlio di putana.

well, it's just rumor, but if we were to assume hypothetically that ancelotti leaves at the end of the season, then i would take leonardo. he is involved and hands on in transfers, and could maybe lure hernanes (i could wish at least) away from the grasp of barcelona.

he seems to have a good relationship with many of the current players and has the disposition and intelligence to be a good manager. he would be my choice
