Now that the schedule is out, let's talk road trips:

The July 4 Jersey game is a must. Think we can fill a bus?

I'm tempted by the 4/18 game against the Freedom (with the Revs playing DC on the 17th).

5/31 at Jersey - It's a Sunday, time TBA, so I don't know if we could fill a bus for this one. But hopefully we can get a decent number down there anyway.

    Thoughts?

Oh, we're filling a bus on the 4th alright! I think it's perfect timing for it. Spring soccer is over and District soccer starts the next week.....well, that's good for me at least!;)

I wish the Revs/Breakers in DC weekend was a month or so later and a Sat/Sun...IDK what kind of Revs contingent we'd get for a Friday night match in DC so early in the season...

As for the May 31st match...I'm there but a bus might be tougher. I really want a good group on the 4th. But hey, 2 bus trips to Jersey?? sounds good. It would be incredible to pull tht off in year 1.:D

Of course we travel to any away playoff match....Oh who am I kidding, we'll be home through the final!

Oh we will fill the bus for sure. I put in for a day off for 5/31 and 7/4.

With school vacation the following week for those that may want to check out the Smithsonian and other parts of Obama-land. :D

As long as the taxes are done.

I'll be in town for the Breakers and Revs weekend (I'm in college in DC)- if anyone is coming down, I'll buy in for tickets in the supporters section for Revs & Breakers. Also, anyone coming down for the Breakers game who I could hitch a ride with? I'm currently car-less and the SoccerPlex is not on mass transit.

    Thanks

Julie and I just booked flights to DC for this weekend, so we'll be at the Breakers/Freedom game and the Revs/United game. We'll also be carless though, but I imagine we'll figure out some way to get to the SoccerPlex.

If anyone else is going we can look into getting tickets as a group.

I'm in for a bus trip, and my daughter, who has always refused to take a bus trip to watch the Revs, wants to go as well. :)

I'm strongly considering doing the DC trip. I was a bit hesitant at first as my U18 team plays Sunday mornings at 8:30am. But after looking at the schedule it appears that April 19th is my bye week!

    At this point I'm 50/50 flying/driving....if I go of course!:p

Put me down for at least one.

The car/transportation is a problem- the nearby commuter rail is only open on weekdays and it would be 3+ miles from the closest Metro stop. Maybe we could hitch rides with the Freedom supporters group?

Not sure of my logistics yet, but I think I'm staying Friday and Saturday in Rockland near the Metro. Depending upon which wheels I drive down there'll be room for at least three (plus beer).

I'd crawl on broken glass for the 3 miles first!

Changed my mind- its ten miles from the closest Metro Stop.

    still glass!

    :D

Now I'm leaning toward driving down. But then flying from BWI to join some family in Florida for a week. So anyone driving down with me (Tim? Bryan?) would have to spring for a one way flight home...or find a return leg.

no firm plans as of yet though...

Bump. Who's in for the DC game? We should look into getting tickets as a group. Add your name to the list if you're going (and I'm hoping someone with a car is coming down for this one, because I'd rather not crawl 10 miles on broken glass :) )

I don't have a car, sorry. So I'll be trying to hitch a ride too  I know a bunch of the Freedom fans, though, so I could end up hitching a ride with them if needed. But I'll go in for a ticket with other Breakers fans.

The Freedom are providing discounted taxis to the stadium this weekend (includes a free t-shirt, at least this week)- I'll keep an eye out for any information concerning something similar next weekend...

by the way- depending on my transportation (aka are the Freedom fans willing to drive someone dressed in blue?) next week, I may do this if I can find three others to go with me...
