Thousands of Euros protested against Israel on the streets today, 64 years after Hitler once and for all put an end to their ability to just go out and kill Jews themselves.
What is it about this continent that makes virulent anti-Semitism the only unifying force for its assorted population? The only reason I am asking is that nothing will make me believe that a continent that engineered the most horrific genocide in history is suddenly terrified of another nation protecting itself from murderous religious fanatics.

What is it about Europeans' fear and hatred of Jews, even though they have chased this small ethnicity off their continent decades ago, after gassing and starving the majority, women and children first? Calm down already! The Jews have left you to your own devices. They went to an unlivable desert, built beautiful cities upon it, developed a free, democratic nation, successfully defended it against a numerically supperior enemy several times. They are none of your concern anymore. Why don't you find someone else to hate? Like the crazy adherents of a murderous religion who blow up your subways, for example... No? They don't quite do it for you? It simply has to be the Jews? Nothing short of their complete destruction will satisfy? But if it really does happen as you dream, whom will you hate next?

Israelis should take comfort in the European denunciations. It means that they're in relatively good shape. Europe won't have any demonstrations in support of Israel until the Muslims have killed about half of the Jews there and there's no stopping the slaughter of the other half.

Well, he is left-handed, but for the rest... The funny thing is: i wouldn't even have minded, but his inability to stand still for more than 5 minutes takes baseball completely out of the equation. No, it's ice hockey for us, I am afraid. A big stay-at-home defender, that's the ticket for a nasty half-Jew.
But I do have another one, clearing the big 2-month barrier tomorrow. So, who knows...

There were no demonstrations the last time about half the Jews was being killed, so why should I expect one now? Of course, that last time it was the Euros who did it. I guess, the Gypsees have proven a poor substitute since...

Do you ever wonder, Shurik, what kind of Running of the Jew ceremony they're having in Prizepovka right now?

Yeah, but they don't much like the Muslims, either. So if they ever got the upper hand, the Euros would all be crying in their beer/wine for the Jews. I'll bet you can't wait to be mascots for sniveling Euro lefties, huh?

I thought this might be about Spain and the Jews in Iberia in 1492 - now that was a heck of a dumb move!

    Spain & the Jews

There may be more people in Spain with Jewish ancestry than you think. Only Jews & Moslems who did not convert to Catholicism were expelled. DNA analysis suggests many converted and stayed.

"20 percent of the current population of the Iberian Peninsula has Sephardic Jewish ancestry, and 11 percent bear Moorish DNA"

there was a pro-israel rally in london on wednesday night, right next to a pro-palestine rally, attended by roughly the same number of people.

predictably their "peaceful protests" turned into running battle, with both sides blaming each other.

You might want to read up on anti-muslim sentiments in Europe before you spout anymore of your nonsense. By the way, seeing that you're American, you may also want to examine anti-semitism in the US past and present before you criticise Europeans.

Perhaps you should ask Shurik where he's from originally and not just assume he's native to the United States, Becky.

You're right - I am indeed very unhappy at it being taken this long for Jews to be able to get into ALL the top country clubs in the country. I wonder if they had that problem in Germany?

Was it on BS or somewhere else that I read the story of the German visitor to NYC, who after dining at a couple of delicatessens told his hosts, "These places are great. It's a shame we don't have them in Germany!"

Kazakhstan actually had the option to become a part of UEFA or the Asian confederation, so more ambiguity.

But being to the east of the urals, I call it asia.

The Europeans are still hitting themselves for letting the state of Israel survive for so long.

A very reliable website indeed. There are antisemites everywhere but no jew was ever prosecuted for his faith in the Netherlands and antisemitism was never institutionalised.

Anyway none of that's relevant. If there's on religious group that gets badly treated in Europe it's the muslims, not the jews.
